Lust In LA (featuring Ellie P. Rose)

Every travel has a bump in the road, a wrinkle in the journey. While Lorenso and I travelled to London from Paris to see the Jets V Dolphins international game at Wembley, our companion Nate took the train south to Nice. During Nate's ride, a flash flood derailed his train and stranded him with no phone or shelter for almost 2 days. I heard about his train on the news, but I couldn't reach Nate on the phone. The following day, Lorenso and I hopped on a train to Nice to hopefully find Nate, and we were also caught in the flood. Lo' and I spent a day stranded in Toulon getting drunk off French wine and eating like kings until the railways were fixed. When we finally made it to Nice, we reunited with Nate at our Air BnB, and continued to party in the South of France. The anger and aggression you hear in this song comes from the confusion and irritation I felt while being side tracked and stranded. The feeling of being lost and travelling through flooded streets on foot in a foreign land inspired me to write lyrics that translated that feeling into the music.
