Sliding straight into fifth gear, drum & bass powerhouse Urbandawn supplies his meticulous sound design to kickstart the compilation with empowering synths and crunch-fuelled drums. Expect the Brazilian mastermind’s very own guitar playing prowess featuring throughout as Urbandawn continues to carve out his own lane of drum & bass specialty.

Bass music titan Metrik joins the race with his supremely sought-after anthem ‘Utopia’. A popular go-to for his DJ sets and livestreams, this dancefloor destroyer is finally stepping to the forefront of the drum & bass realm with futuristic soundscapes and an electrifying bassline.

Hospital Records will feature as an in-game radio station for Forza Horizon 5, hosted by none other than label co-founder Chris Goss alongside charismatic Hospital artist, MC and vocalist Degs. Drift into a world where drum & bass collides with an virtually immersive racing experience like no other. ‘The Forza Horizon 5’ compilation will be available on all major streaming platforms alongside a limited vinyl release. The full game will be available for purchase from 9th November 2021.

Handpicked by curators Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, the Anjunadeep 13 Sampler hosts 6 highlights from the compilation, featuring Westseven & Ross Farren, Bantwanas, Oliver Wickham, Cornelius SA, Hessian and Simon Shackleton.

Following his debut on Ajnunandeep Explorations 06, Malaysian producer Westseven pairs up with Ross Farren in ‘Muse Of Mine’, the opening track on this year’s Sampler. 

South African collective Bantwanas return to the label with their track ‘Inthombi’, featuring vocals from Noni Jali. Following their Anjunadeep debut ‘Dignane’, the collective have been supported on BBC Radio 1, KCRW and Kiss FM. 

Next up is Canadian producer Oliver Wickham with his track ‘World Away’. Oliver first debuted on Anjunadeep with his collaborative cut ‘Dear Ben’ in 2020 and has since gone on to release his track ‘Indigo’ on the label in 2021. 

Based in South Africa, Cornelius marks a bold return to Anjunadeep with ‘Soaring, following his debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 18’. Leading with delicate melodies and perucsive laden grooves, Cornelius demonstrates why he’s released on labels including DAYS like NIGHTS and mau5trap.

Bristol based producer Hessian is next on the Sampler with his track ‘Rain’. Anchoring on pulsing strings and a warm bass, Hessian showcases his intricate sound design, utilising nature recordings in the build-up. 

Closing out the EP is a fresh remix of Simon Shackleton ‘Traumstaat’ from Jody and James. Leading with the original emotive string lead, the duo add soft synths and a rhythmic drumbeat to the track.
