A biologist by day and an internet-dwelling vaguely reptilian beatmaking entity by night, this DJ and producer from Maryland has been mixing for 4 years. He started making electronic music for fun during his undergraduate studies in college and picked up DJing once he got deep into online underground music during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is commonly spotted in crevices throughout Discord often working with his Tabula Rasa labelmates such as Kelbin, RamonPang, Gaszia, and Jozef White, and VRChat where he's played at various venues and events like Modular Monday, STATIC, Sanctum, and Millenium Strike VR Events. His distorted mind-bending beats, which he describes as chromatopunk, embrace a variety of styles including juke, breakcore, footwork, IDM, jungle, techno, dub, and various varieties of club music. All of these influences can be seen in his two most recent records: Chromatophores-03 and the Blood on Velvet EP he made with Kelbin. To make his beats, he makes use of a variety of music software including Renoise, VCV Rack, Koala Sampler, Reaper, and even live coding systems such as Tidalcycles and SonicPi. Despite the breadth of methods and styles he embraces, he frequently includes a few specific elements related to his love of nature. Specifically, he will often incorporate field recordings and animal call samples into tracks as a way to show appreciation for wildlife and wild places. All of these components of his music are reflected in both his tracks and the live sets he often performs for internet events in VR Chat and on Twitch. His current live setup consists of an Arturia Beatstep Pro and Akai MPD218 routed to a laptop running Renoise, Phase Plant, and VCV Rack. For today's mix, he wanted to showcase a mix that captures what he likes about genres like House, Techno, Dubstep, and Footwork. Also, his labelmates at Tabula Rasa have been putting out some insanely good dance music so he wanted to showcase some of their work and make something that embodied their collective sound.

Finally, he would like you all to keep an eye on Tabula Rasa Records this year. He's been working with them on a couple of things that he hasn't announced yet that he's super excited for.
