Leading the release, title track ‘Alley Rave’ brings together pumping basslines, rolling percussion, and energetic vocal samples for a hair-raising start to the EP. ‘Out and About’ follows, with loose and swinging drums meeting rumbling low end and analogue synths. ‘Locomotive’ brings tense build-ups and earth-shattering drops along with an earworm lead, closing out the EP in a memorable fashion.

London-based DJ and producer ​1991 ​and UK duo ​MANT ​are the latest artists to remix the Claptone ​and ​Mylo ​collaborative single​ ‘Drop The Pressure’​, out​ ​today,​ 20th July​.
  
1991 ​steps up first, turning ‘Drop The Pressure’ into a high-energy, jump-up D&B bomb, fit with euphoric breakdown. ​MANT ​then base their edit around a deep and dirty bassline, delivering a heads down version that loses none of the original’s dancefloor appeal.

It follows recent reworks from Australian tech favourite ​Sonny Fodera and German remix don Purple Disco Machine​, with the latter already racking up more than​ 500,000 streams​.

Best known for his remix work, including his reimagining of ​Gregory Porter’s ‘Liquid Spirit’​, after releasing ​‘Fantast’​, his second studio album in 2018, ​Claptone’s ​uplifting and vocal heavy style of house has gone on to rack up millions of plays on ​YouTube​, with his ​Spotify currently enjoying ​3 million monthly listeners​. More recently he has remixed tracks from superstars Dua Lipa​, ​Mark Ronson​, ​Michael Kiwanuka ​and more, as well as launching online cooking series ​‘Quarantine Canteen’ and the immersive weekly live series, ​Claptone In The Circus during a busy lockdown period.

The Venetian mask-donning producer launched the immersive and otherworldly ​‘The Masquerade’ events in 2017, with guests including ​Black Coffee, Claude von Stroke, MK, Dennis Ferrer and ​Pete Tong ​joining the fun across showcases in Australia, South America, North America, London and Amsterdam, to name a few. He then took the series to Ibiza for a summer residency at fabled nightspot ​Pacha​, bringing the likes of ​Purple Disco Machine​, ​Kerri Chandler​ and ​Duke Dumont ​along for the ride.

London based DJ and producer ​1991 ​has emerged as one of the most exciting artists in dance music. Since winning the ​‘Best Newcomer’ award at the ​2017 Drum & Bass Awards​, he has held down a steady release schedule of hits, collaborated with the likes of ​Sub Focus and Netsky ​and remixed ​Chase & Status​, ​Chris Lake ​and ​Camo & Krooked​, all while balancing a hectic touring schedule which has him travelling across the globe.

A highly respected production duo, MANT’s music has found its way onto labels such as Toolroom​, ​VIVa Music​, ​Circus​, ​Higher Ground and ​Sola​, also receiving support from ​Marco Carola​, ​Andrea Oliva​, ​Nic Fanciulli​, ​Michael Bibi​ and many more.

VNSSA has always had a passion for music even as a child. The Newport Beach native now calls Los Angeles home and has fully immersed herself in the local electronic scene. Although Santa never gave her the turntables she wanted at a young age, she soon found herself drumming in local rock and indie rock bands. From there she learned to DJ, and started performing at local clubs and house parties.

Her debut single was released in early 2018 and she has since released multiple singles and EPs on labels such as Dirtybird Records, Higher Ground, Techne, Rules Don't Apply, Sweat It Out, Realm, and Trippy Ass Technologies, including a Beatport #1 with “Word” a single in collaboration with Walker & Royce on Black Book Records/HotBoi. Catching the platform's attention, she was later named a Beatport “Next” artist, and received further support from tastemaker platforms like This Song Is Sick and Data Transmission.

Her live sets cover the length and breadth of house, breaks, and techno, although don't be surprised to hear some classic disco as well. VNSSA performs regularly at well-known venues all over the world. In addition to playing her own shows, she has performed with numerous prominent acts such as Chris Lake, Claptone, Destructo, Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Nora En Pure, Dombresky, Walker & Royce, Cassian, Fisher, AC Slater, and many more. 

Most recently, she released murky tech house number “In The Dark” on the first-ever Femme House compilation on Insomniac Records. The eleven-track package is built around the ethos focused on equality and empowerment.  

Looking ahead, VNSSA is set to drop an EP on Diplo's esteemed Higher Ground imprint, a milestone release for this fast-rising talent. She will also perform at some of the biggest festivals in North America in the coming months, including Outside Lands, Imagine Festival, Nocturnal Wonderland, Seismic Dance Event, not to mention her first ever headline tour.

VNSSA does not exist in the world of music because it is her choice, she exists in it because it is her calling.
