An eternal liminality amidst of the fading blaze - sunset speaks so much of  light. Adorned by the dust-covered sundial, a candle being blown out since the crack of dawn. First, the hour hand and the minute hand - chime rods clang without touch. To remember: the core of arousal. The body / as foliage / as traverses too ceaseless to bring up the rear.

‘Butterfly Tongues More Ancient Than Flowers’ is the grandeur revival of early electronic era in the personal and subtle twists of a rethought perception of time. For the same reason, the matter simply drifts through it—not itself, but its own persistence. Copenhagen based artist - øjeRum maintained the reminiscence of rending impulses and rhythmic formations at the turn of provoking co-existing worlds, laid bare in the sempiternal totality.

Gafael - Paradox of the Star

Broshuda's impressive output of releases and original production pieces for radio, appearing on imprints and platforms such as Haunter Records, NoCorner, Soda Gong and NTS reaches a new apex with 𝑨𝒅𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐.

Two live performances between 2019-2022 were re-constructed and edited in studio, creating a meticulous snapshot of the artist´s current sound and practice.

𝑨𝒅𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐 glistens, sputters, and undulates for more than an hour of stream of consciousness electronics, showcasing a unique palette of intricately textured excursions touching on hypnagogic synth music, skeletal dub fragments, blistering noise and gloomy minimal composition along the way.

With nearly a decade of studio and live experience, Broshuda's pacing on the release is impeccable, guiding the listener through caverns of psychoacoustic wonders and technicolor swathes of ineffable modal shifts.

𝑨𝒅𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐 is a gem of a document, capturing an exceptional period of work for a key figure haunting the furthest fringes of contemporary electronic music.

Cross-pollinating a wide textural range of influences, Broshuda's music incorporates elements of sound art, electroacoustic techniques, chopped spoken word dissections and field recorded material, as well as more rhythmically oriented and noise-heavy excursions.

Though kaleidoscopically varied, the work is held together by a playful sense of experimentation and a willingness to explore new directions of sound through an experimental approach and the use of freeform production techniques to expand and further his already broad sonic palette.

Pursuing a strong Fluxus inspired interdisciplinary ethos in his artistic output, the same attitude is applied to his audio works, resulting in detailed sketches which at the same time show and disguise their inner logic while transporting a diverse range of carefully distilled feelings and emotions.

As an avid broadcaster, Broshuda has supplied one off audio-pieces and guest mix contributions for radio stations and institutions such as NTS, Cashmere Radio, Dublab, Rinse FM, Radio Sygma, Dummy Magazine, If Only & more, as well as having completed a three month guest residency at Bristol's own Noods Radio.

In September 2019 he inaugurated his bimonthly radio broadcast, "Intrinsic Speculations" on Radio LYL.

Over the years he has performed and exhibited his works internationally in a variety of cultural and immersive club-centric settings including Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), Stettin Philharmonic, Berghain's Säule, Rye Wax, Power Lunches, The Waiting Room, (London), The Exchange (Bristol), Forest Limit (Tokyo), Macao (Milan), NII (Moscow) and Damás (Lisbon) amongst others.

A Perpetual Host is Francisco Meirino’s fourth full-length, solo studio album on Misanthropic Agenda.
A deep dive into personal loss and the banalities of life and art, A Perpetual Host captures the raw, solitary, and often acerbic extremes that drive creation. Across four pieces, Meirino explores sonic tension and boredom, questioning the simplicity and complexity of the mundane with bursts of clarity that redefine existence itself.

Francisco Meirino is a Spanish sound artist based in Switzerland.

His music explores the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure. His interest lies primarily in what is not supposed to be recorded : the end of life of electronic devices, electrostatic noise, magnetic fields and the unconventional use of music hardware and sound systems and how to exploit these sonic failures in radically different ways in his sound pieces.

His music combines intricate textures, sonic precision, wide spatial panning and is fascinating by its physical intensity and detail precision.

He mostly uses the modular synthesizer (Eurorack-Serge), various microphones, the computer, the field recorder, tape recorders and tape echoes, EMF detectors and various home-made electro-acoustic devices.

"Tumble into the dark kitchen, stub your toe and your necklace gives its beads to the floor. Each bead finds a completely separate trajectory. The second you turn on the lights one of them suddenly stops in the middle of the room. This bead wants to go unnoticed, and possibly merge with the fluorescent buzz. It looks like a secret sorry roach in an alien bright savannah. It’s convinced that lack of movement grants an invisibility cloak against predators and spectators. You respect the bead and don’t pick it up. With time it becomes as fixed as furniture.

One day you’re watching the news. There is a volcano waking up on screen. The camera zooms into the slowest lump of lava and you notice the bead has been changing. Cheek against cold tile to look closer: the bead is growing spores. Your pupils widen like a circle of water made by a rock falling into a dim black pond."

David Coccagna (Chaperone) is a Philadelphia-based writer and musician focusing primarily on transgressive human behavior, poverty, class division, and addiction. Born and raised in Philadelphia, the principle imagery and sonic influences of the depressed Northeast neighborhood Lawncrest has served as the palette and canvas Coccagna works upon. He has worked with labels Great Circles, Jungle Gym, Con.apt, and Minor Adjustments, with more recent focuses leaning into repetitive sound and theme. He is an avid cyclist and has two cats.

This Project was conceived through the correspondence of Vox Populi’s Axel Kyrou and Jim Strong. It serves to commemorate the 30th anniversaries of both the founding of the Philadelphia art collective, Vox Populi Gallery in 1988 and the release of Half Dead Ganja Music, the seminal 1987 album by Vox Populi!. Vox Populi! Emerged out of the eighties Industrial Underground in Paris. The Group’s mercurial experimentation was deeply influenced by Spirituality and Surrealism. They were further set apart for the incorporation of Folk Instrumentation and Influences derived from the diverse origins of the bands members. 
The selections included on “Half Alive Ganja Music” characteristically range all over the map from the Lush Pop Psychedelia of the lead single “Ney” to the albums closer, a Sprawling Live Outtake which Ebbs and Flows between the Bubbling electronics of half formed Art Song Crescendo through long passages of Ritual tinged Improvisation. Both Tracks, Comprise the 5 never before released recordings which make this (double) anniversary collection so special.
