Even though our beloved Mensch Meier is no longer, it still lives on. That's why it was a great pleasure for us to perform this year, and for the first time, at at.tension in the Räuber:innenhöhle. This week’s new addition to our radio is Mimi, 25 years old from Hannover. She originally comes from Munich and started to DJ a couple years ago during the pandemic, when she was gifted a Controller. This is when her journey began. Mimi describes her sound as divers and mood depending, even genre-fluid. Currently the sound varies between progressive house, breakbeat but also trance and more bassy stuff is involved ever so often.

In the meantime Mimi was able to play some gigs in Hannover in the majority, Braunschweig, Bremen, Kiel and even Berlin (yay). Leipzig is still missing on that list, but who knows whats about to come next. Promoters, get your bookings right! Festivals like Organic Beats Festival, Kiezkultur, snntg, Fête de la Musique in Hannover and Foesstival could also be added to the list of venues she played.

Born and raised in the sunny Rheinland, she chose Dresden as her new home. Started a few years ago, @cita_kita has been on an exciting ride along the different genres beginning with acid techno and house to different facets of breakbeat and garage to more RnB and UK infused music in this set. Along this ride the tracks got shorter, the tempo range and mixing more challenging and the fingers more exhausted after each set. The one thing that didn’t change over the last year is her love for broken beats. 

Ready for the colder days, this set is a new approach to her music with quite a wide tempo range and lots of vocals. Grab a coffee, watch the leafs fall, and enjoy!
