Thought I might do some justice for my oshi. I can't believe I only just heard the album (I know right?) It's great. I don't really expect this one to get very many plays but I love this song, and I love Michishige so I hope you'll like the remix as much as I love my oshimen (okay, not THAT much)

Btw, I tried to look for an image to upload here and just googled "Michishige Sayumi" and most of the search results were photobook scans. I would've been dead if anyone was to walk in while me having searched that. I felt like such a perv... ahem.

Yes, I have seen Sayu's...announcement. It's difficult to listen to this happy song and feel happy anymore. I feel like... Well, when Tsunku-san said "[Michishige Sayumi] said that she’d like to graduate when she becomes cute even in reality", it really spoke to me. (Am I weird?) 

Okay, let me explain. Ever since she had that long-running gag, "Right! I’m cute as usual today!" she received a whole lot of criticism, while at the same time bringing attention to the platinum-era line-up. It kinda felt like she was really taking it for the team, and that is what I found cute about her: Her noble decision and sacrifice that really exceeded her age.  

When she became leader, she dropped that persona but it was so liberating to witness the group becoming popular because it almost felt like she was being rewarded for it. She worked so hard to make it where they are. It was like seeing an angel being free from the chains of hell. The chains of hell being her "fake" persona of "I only care about myself". She is free to express her love for others, her kindness and compassion without having to worry about it affecting her career. Now she is loved for being HER. It's beautiful to think she developed from an introverted girl who had pill-bugs for friends into this pure-hearted woman who is loved by millions. 

Now, back to the statement, "[Michishige Sayumi] said that she’d like to graduate when she becomes cute even in reality". I've interpreted the statement to mean "cute inside-out" and I have really felt that happen. Morning Musume has helped Sayumi discover her identity and she has given back to the group by utilizing it. In that way, I believe Sayu has intended to graduate at this time when she said she’d like to graduate when she becomes cute even in reality. 

The most important and practical thing I want to establish from this is that, being a Sayu-fan, I really think it would be rude to stop liking Morning Musume '14 from the fact that she is leaving because she's done so much to keep the group alive. If we love Sayu, we should show it by continuing to support the group. Morning Musume won't be the same without the "worlds most cutest leader" but change happens. 

My cries for "chhhaaayyyyuuuuuu~" will no longer be the "I-love-you,-please-marry-me" kind but more the "I-miss-you-please-come-back" kind. Kinda like how whenever I go "Yuuuuuukariiiiiinnnn" I feel sad instead of happy, which by the way, "YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKAAAAARRRIIINNNNNNNNNNNNN! YOU LEFT ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU MOST!" ahem.
