In his piano cycle "Scenes from Childhood", op.15, the German Romantic composer Robert Schumann provides us with his adult reminiscences of childhood embodied in 13 wonderful miniatures. Nr. 7, "Träumerei", is one of Schumann's best known pieces; "A drop of music from the deepest source", it especially stands out due to the "exceptional quality of its melody" (Hans Pfitzner).
