My Journey

This started as a 10 second piece I made to conclude a spoken word radio show/podcast about time. I liked the result enough that I extended that piece to a "song" length and did a bit more distorting and manipulating of the sounds. Among the sounds are "ticks" from a clock distorted out of keeping any measured time.

In the language of music a "scherzo" is a kind of musical joke. That is how I see all of my sound play. This piece starts with various tracks of giggling and laughing girls and women. I played with, distorted and manipulated these sounds in various ways.

Vagabondo Chaote Filou - Tacky Tea Tinitus Dance Mix

This bit of off-key, atonal howling and squealing and general vocal noise-making was inspired by Jimmy Webb's odd song of lost love, "MacArthur Park". I chose to leave that musical cake out in the rain, and pick up the melted mess through my own vocal improvisations and electronic distortions. Danceable? Perhaps, with just the right amount of ecstatic madness....

Harmonious Elves And Ogres - Parking Arthur's Macaroon

Back in the 1960s a few soul bands and a few psychedelic bands do versions of a song called "River Deep, Mountain High". This bit of noisy, mostly distorted vocal improvisation was inspired by that piece. I made one vocal track to start with duplicated it several times and distorted each of these tracks in different ways.

'The NHART Demo[n]s' is a collection of early tracks and reworks conceived, recorded and edited back in 2009, under the former name "NHART". 

The songs combine Ambient, Death Industrial, Power Electronics, Dark Ambient, Noise, Drone and they were initially meant to be released on three different demos (which never saw the light) between 2009 and 2010; now available as a single release, digitally restored and remastered in 2017.

'The NHART Demo[n]s' includes layers from: Atrium Carceri's "First Steps" and "Memory Lapse", Bocksholm's "Radicon" and "Uan B-Rath", Anthesteria's "Rainroom" and "Eternal Travel".

For the moment I can again play tracks. If this lasts, I will continue with Soundcloud, but will also check out various alternatives.
This will be where I post my experiments in creating rhythms from unusual sources. I am new at this, and open to advice. The program I am using is Audacity. Also, I consider all of my music play to be "musical jokes". I do it for fun, and it often makes me laugh.
