"Stone Cold Steve Austin Flow" is the lead single from "The Iceberg Theory", the upcoming collaborative project from Blah Records’ CLBRKS and Scottish producer Vagrant Real Estate, pairing distinctive flow and vivid imagery with lush soul samples and icy, gothic textures.

CLBRKS has carved out his own lane through the crowd of UK Hip Hop with his distinctive tone and wordplay, in part alchemized through his early days which saw him relocate from the UK to Tanzania at the age of 3, before returning to the UK shores in 2013. His ability to stand out on even the most crowded posse cut has seen him rapidly rise through the UK scene, and recently join the ranks of esteemed British rap label Blah. His voracious work ethic has produced an impressive back catalog and his collaborations with fellow Blah artist Morriarchi has seen international acclaim, as well as featuring with the likes of Lee Scott and Milkavelli.

Vagrant Real Estate is fast becoming one of the most sought after producers from Scotland, drawing from a number of disparate inspirations to craft his soulful and melodic style. Named as one of BBC Radio Scotland’s Top 25 Artists to Watch in 2021, he has also seen support from the likes of Ministry of Sound, Hypebeast, Complex and DJ Mag. Equally at home working with Trap and Drill styles, The Iceberg Theory sees him return to his roots of sample style beats and his impeccable ear for a loop, sometimes stripped back to the bare essence of the chops.

Dropping everywhere June 17th, the title track from the upcoming collaborative project by CLBRKS of Blah Records and Scottish producer Vagrant Real Estate sees the duo pair up with underground rising star Renelle 893, blending smooth braggadocio and gallows humour. Backed by the soulful, R&B tinged VRE instrumental, both artists display their mastery of poignant lines and non-sequitur bars in equal measure, creating a tranquil and elegant vibe on the surface with darkness pulsing underneath just out of sight. 

The artwork, painted by Emily Catherine (Mach Hommy, Your Old Droog), gives another glimpse at the wider piece created for the full project, combining CL's vivid imagery with classical references to artists such as Bosch and Holbein.

Vagrant Real Estate is a producer and DJ from Aberdeen, Scotland. Backed by the likes of Ministry of Sound, DJ Mag, i-D Magazine, SB:TV, the BBC and the SAMAs / SAY Award, VRE combines hard hitting drums and programming with his ear for melody and soul to put his spin on a range of styles, from classic Boom Bap and UK Garage to Grime and UK Drill, working with a wide array of artists including Remtrex, Nolay, Teks Sinatra, Ransom Fa, Skirmish of Rhyme Asylum, namesbliss and many more.

In 2019 he released his sophomore instrumental album SWEETHEARTGRIPS to rave reviews, with premiere support from BBC Radio and front page coverage in Aberdeen's Press & Journal newspaper, receiving several nominations for the SAY Award Longlist. 

2020 saw a number of singles and collaborations both locally and further afield, and he closed out the year with the socially-charged Glass Half Full album for Buffalo NY artist Y.N.X. 716, produced entirely remotely through lockdown. Named as one of Vic Galloway's (BBC Radio Scotland) Top 25 Artists To Watch, 2021 was another stellar year for Vagrant Real Estate, producing for artists such as Gatson from Illinois and top Scottish MCs Bemz & McRoy, as well as racking up 100,000 Spotify streams on the acclaimed single “Rubicon Lychee” with Namesbliss. 

Recently announced as a recipient of the Do It Differently grant from Help Musicians UK, reserved for assisting rising artists to reach new heights in their career, VRE shows no signs of slowing down in 2022.
