Kirtan Sessions was an album that I released in 2012. Weaving together the ancient with the NOW. Where kirtan and sacred mantra meets dub, hiphop, and reggae. Being the first real album that I ever came out with, it was a magical journey of sacred expression. Meanwhile getting to collaborate with MC's and musicians that I was associating closely with at the time. As time went on and my skills in production increased, I began to cringe when I listened to the mixing and mastering on the project. Which lead me to KIRTAN SESSIONS - REWORKED. 

In this renewal, you may find that tracks have a whole new feel and taste to it. Some tracks ( like Hey Govinda and You Are The Lover) have been given a whole new beat structure and vibe. While others have just been touched up to make a cleaner more potent sound. Remastered... a bit remixed... fully reworked. 

I hope you enjoy these healing sound vibrations laced with beats and bass.

New release! A collection of Bengali songs featuring "Bhajahū Re Mana” composed by the great 16th century Gaudiya-Vaishnava poet Govinda Dās Kavirāj from the book “Padāvalī". In his song Govinda Dās advises the mind, kamala-dala-jala, jīvana ṭalamala, bhajahū hari-pada nīti re, "life is tottering like a drop of water on a lotus petal”, to give up the futile pursuit of temporary worldly happiness and to worship the abode of fearlessness: the divine feet of Lord Hari. Srila Prabhupada says:

Rama and Krishna are names of God, and Hare is the energy of God. So when we chant the maha-mantra, we address God together with His energy. This energy is of two kinds, the spiritual and the material. At present we are in the clutches of the material energy. Therefore we pray to Krishna that He may kindly deliver us from the service of the material energy and accept us into the service of the spiritual energy. That is our whole philosophy. Hare Krishna means, "O energy of God, O God [Krishna], please engage me in Your service." It is our nature to render service. Somehow or other we have come to the service of material things, but when this service is transformed into the service of the spiritual energy, then our life is perfect.
