Our third analysis of frequencies from the void above resulted in a snapshot obtained from the genesis of another universe. Celebrating one year of music FTVA03 consists of five cuts by the spanish maestro Do Or Die.

On the A-Side the record opens with Autoflanger, a driving techno track with trancey elements which gives no rest. A2, 25 Seconds, presents a biting electro cut where the vocals and synths take us on a apocaliptic journey. Heaven in Hell closes the A-Side with a tranquil but tense acid track where the interaction of the bassline, drums, leads and pads create an ascent into the enlightenment brought by the glimpse of this new universe.

The B-Side opens up with Out Run 2020, a warped break-beat phantasmagoria where detuned synths constantly fight aganst the driving bassline. Finally, B2 gives us Overdose, a gloomy electro cut with sounds brought up from the darkest places of this new universe.

So here I am.. after having forced Vakant’s artists to write their own press releases a few years ago, since I think this has a more personal approach besides that everyone is tired of the usual press blurbs, I do not get around to draft something for this 10 Years Vakant compilation by myself. 

10 Years is a long time and I will refrain to summarize this in a text. This is not a summary but rather a statement where the label stands today in early 2015. The music you hear went through a process of joy, pain, armwrestling, threats and relief and shows our idea of contemporary club music. 14 new and previously unreleased tracks of the 14 artists I (still) work with closely, some from the first year of Vakant’s existence and some who just joined recently. 

Very happy to see this finally coming out, with music that still makes me shuffle in my kitchen after all these years. Thank you guys for all that inspiring and sometimes frightening stuff and thanks to you who at least read this until here if not spent some time with our music in your very own past.

Kosh exploded onto the electro scene in 2018 with his debut release ‘Null 212’ on Casa Voyager records. The track that received the most attention was ‘Catch The Train’ with it’s faultless modern take on classic Detroit electro reminiscent of Cybotron and Aux 88.  It became a big track for 20/20 Vision founder Ralph Lawson who quickly invited Kosh to record for the label.

Kosh - ‘Vicious Love’ is a diverse 4 track EP showing off the Moroccan producers faultless production skills with the A-side featuring ‘An Arab in Space’ that continues to bring the classic sound of Detroit right up to date while title track ‘Vicious Love’ pushes into new territories, incorporating acid tinged synths, vocoded vocals and an insistent fast paced bassline. On the flip side ‘She Gets Mad’ is a straight up dance floor filler from the school of Casablanca while ‘Headache’ is precisely the opposite experience from the title with a relaxed, lush jam that oozes Larry Heard influences.

After a healthy planetary ecosystem is established we turn to the selective development of lifeforms. Cellular monoamine neurotransmitters within these organisms (such as serotonin and melatonin) react with incoming photons in a variety of ways.
