The patterns weaved and meandered before his very eyes, they were hypnotic and cast a spell upon his train of thought and vision. Conceptually they were stunning but beneath the glow of his frazzled mind and the substances which danced a merry jig amidst his chemicals he was lost in a maze of wandering lines and blurry dots. It was going to be a long night as he marched between rooms whilst the drums rumbled and banged in his ears, he cast a glimpse outwards onto the floor and began to move. 

Armec is set to release a new EP on Echocentric Records, an EP which is provocative and thoughtful. It channels elements of space and IDM, with agile sound design and intricate angular electronics.

There's no disputing Tim Sweeney's taste for music. Whether it's via his heralded Beats In Space radio shows or through his DJ sets, Sweeney's ability to showcase new music in unheralded. 

That's why when we saw a new album coming via his Beats In Space label, we knew we had to listen. Low and behold, we weren't disappointed. 

Andras' 'Joyful' album invokes exactly what its title suggests, pure joy. With high octane acid-lines running in tandem alongside dreamscape lullabies, the LP is pretty damn special.

We've got the premier of 'River Red', a blissful cut that sounds like by Larry Heard's'The Sun Can't Compare' if it was injected with a dose of pure sunshine.

Walking through the countryside he looked upwards into the deep blue beyond. He watched as birds flew and soared between tall trees and headed towards the clouds in the abyss which was an endless sky. Icarus was a lonely man, he dreamed that one day he might be able to fly and career between the stars and the milky way. He wished he could, he dreamt of it at night once the world turned black. In the blackness and the beyond he would find himself at one, find himself at peace. 

Joe Lewandowski is set to release a new EP on Sengiley Recordings. A beautiful record which features a reimagined version of a track called "Icarus". It's thematic, elegant and beautiful. Highly recommended.

The latest record from BBC is a trio of tracks that are serene as they are deep. Crystalline synth work and achingly beautiful pads set a tone for this record which makes it as good at home as it is in the club.

Infrared is a cut that feels right in the middle between Burials emotional blurr and something more defined.

Sweetheart pushes the boundaries of what a House track is, edging away from what is easily perceptible and into a warm un-reality that just draws you in.

Closing the record Twelve Measures feels like the early experimentations with tape and electronics brought bang up to date and with no little punch. Together this record offers something new, in a space where it is certainly needed.

PREMIERE : Klustone - Twelve Measures

Italian siblings, The Robinson, deliver a mesmerizing triplet of tracks on the ‘Nightmares’ EP, having popped up recently on Futureboogie’s 2020 Summer Riot IX EP. And the FBR HQ has been all of a quiver after one of the deep house scene’s most prominent and revered figures, Ron Trent, blessed the release with a fine remix in his own inimitable style.

With only a couple of releases on RYE Records behind them, The Robinson are clearly fully formed already, as evident on ‘Burnout’, a sprawling and luscious house joint that’s replete with melodic emotion and rhythmic power.
