After a long tradition of Italian Dance Wave compilations on Slow Motion, the time has come to let our darker (and most electronic) side shine. On Sunday 12th of February, 2006, I recorded an all vinyl set of a bunch of records I was digging at the time. At the time my boyfriend was away, and I was kind of lonely but also energized, and It captured perfectly my mood. So I recorded the set on two turntables at home, then burnt the set to about 50 CDs and left them everywhere I had connected with that day. So I left one at L'eu A La Bouche cafe on Broadway Market (London), one on the 55 Bus, sent one to my mum because I spoke to her that day, etc etc. Anyone I connected with that day, or the places I went to, received a little capsule of that time. 
Somehow, I still have the file, and still listen to it from time to time, so I'm uploading it here, on Sunday 11th of February, 2024, as a memory of 18 years ago. 

The image is of me around that time (I think), taken by Katie Kaars.

The first adventure with Makèz concludes with Levitation, the sequel to
Elevation, their first EP for LPH, which they released on Valentine's Day this year. With this five-tracker, the slinky funk is back, but now it has an added layer of sensual, late-night, richly-detailed disco that slowly heats up over the course of the flight. 

The A side is a more contemplative affair, the soundtrack to dancing alone, under moonlight in a cobblestone courtyard or a jumbo disco ball in a freshly- mopped club; it prompts you to close your eyes and dive deep within. 

The other side is the community side, the overcapacity-party side, the collective-consciousness side, one big-room, sprawling anthem with razzle-dazzle diva vocals in the middle, one beachy, tropical affair that's an all-smiles comedown for the high.

My love for music is multi-layered and I deeply enjoy sharing this passion with others.
