Hip Hop’s Southern Bell is quickly gaining momentum on the music scene. Her face displays an innocent, attractive, Black/Latina girl that you can bring home to meet your dear o’l mom. That may, very well, be the case; HOWEVER, some of her music is definitely not for your momma’s ears. You see, VALENTINA suffers from what is known as a potty mouth.  Her single, “Gripping the Faucet, is an X- rated, “Getting It In” type of song. To see her perform it live, is usually a jaw dropping “oh, that’s what’s up” type of experience. VALENTINA takes instant command of the mic, the stage, and the crowd, leaving both male and female listeners cheering and critiques saying that its way too graphic. Nevertheless, there are NO side conversations in the crowd when she is on stage. All eyes are on VALENTINA. “Gripping The Faucet” was recently played on Shade 45 XM radio (4/19/11) on  “Hate it or love it” and won. The song stirred up controversy and the phones rang off the hook.  Most listeners were intrigued by her lyricism and turned on by her explicit wordplay; many became instant fans. Others thought it was just wrong for a “lady” to make a song like that.  On 5/3/11 “Gripping the Faucet” and her second single “VALENTINA” both aired on Shade 45 Morning Show “Don’t Quit Your Day Job”  and were unanimously praised.  Currently “Gripping the Faucet” is getting airplay on Foxy99FM’s Independent Spotlight in Fayetteville, N.C.
