From time to time we all get stuck in our daily routines, in repetitive patterns that feel tiring and joyless. And sometimes we may even get stuck in our places.

But what if we just take the car and drive out of the city...into the big wide world...passing little villages and fields and just go "...over the end of every road"

I composed "Somewhere Else" some time ago when I was in this state. I was already trapped in work, and then I also had to go into quarantine.

So I couldn't go out, but I just dreamed about the feeling of breaking out of everyday life.... and wrote this song.

A song is about fear, depression, friendship and hope..
A friend suffering from anxiety and depression, desperately trying to get out of it... sometimes it's impossible to help someone with these things…something that can be overwhelming for a friendship, overwhelming for your own feelings.

But even if things are complicated: What matters in the end is the support, love and hope that you give - the will not to leave someone alone in an unconditional friendship. And so things can light up a bit... ☀️

A head full of dreams and ambitions, in a fast world of modern society and seemingly unlimited possibilities…it’s both a blessing and a curse.

Everywhere there is people breaking down from this, having burnouts and other stress diseases…or getting lost in unreachable life dreams that social media puts in front of their face every single day.

„Escape“ is about breaking out of this pattern and starting to live in the moment.

I wanted to write this text very „up and down“ and sometimes even confusing as it’s supposed to reflect the unstable thought process of a person in conflict.

The song takes me back to carefree childhood days. It’s an ode to my idyllic upbringing in a small rural village surrounded by good friends and endless summer days ☀️
