Daniel Button has been DJing and producing since he was teenager and has always been blown away by underground house tracks that sound great on club systems.

Then, he started a label and a party brand NON Music with his friend The Pushamann and released a number of tracks before he became a farther to a beautiful son. 

Flash forward 10 years, he started playing and producing again. He has some tracks ready for release later this year and has played a number of gigs in Berlin including Golden Gate and Sisyphos. 

From the end of this year and into 2023, he and The Pushamann plan to really start ramping it up to make some serious noise. So keep your ears open!

Micaela Elliot Ravettino (MER) architect and Dj. During the week she focuses on her entrepreneurship of architectural renderings and the weekend is dedicated to playing. Be part of the collective 'BULBO' and is co-founder of 'Space Invaders', in Lima Peru. 

She always had that attraction for electronic music. The genres that most represent it are dark and deep minimal, as well as minimal techno, and a little bit of micro.

Her style is characterized by long structures and abstract textures, which elevate her ensembles with strong downloads of tribal rhythms, creating music from sounds. With a dark style but always in search of a groove, she manages to create an atmosphere constant with a line of repetitive basses, in which its subtle transitions shine when mixing.

Mathäus’ journey to electronic music is an interesting one. Starting out with EDM, he soon immersed himself in more discerning sounds, to the point where he is now fully concerned with more exquisite and sophisticated sounds. A native of São Paulo in Brazil, he now lives in Dublin, Ireland, a city that’s quickly left an impression on his tastes. Besides this, he’s also been making use of Ireland’s geographical location by visiting gigs around Europe - most recently Ricardo Villalobos’ 20th anniversary session at London institution, fabric. 

Mathäus’ own sounds bear the hallmarks of a producer confident in his approach. Heavily influenced by groove and minimal, he namechecks long-time favourites of ours such as Mihai Popoviciu and Cab Drivers as favourites, and definitely shares their penchant for class and eclecticism. What’s more he’s also released already on the likes of Conceptual Records, Chichi Music, Farmat and Worst Date Records.

Cocada, a project which emerged as a diffuser of the musical talent present throughout Latin America, quickly spread its sounds to the four corners of the world, becoming a great initiative for electronic music. We couldn't be happier by this time, Cocada's first release as a record label is born with some respected artists and a beautiful story behind. 

The wonderful artwork was illustrated by the Brazilian artist Paula Dornelles, who dedicates herself to the production of experimental artworks, she was able to convey through all her creative potential the depth of the meaning present in the word "freedom", a small sample of Latin American talent also in the visual arts.

On the album, who begins the work is the Brazilian duo, Diogo Vaille and Marcelo Abreu aka Bruce Leroys, with "Liberdade" (Original Vocal Version), a rework of a classic MPB song. The artists managed to perfectly merge the melancholy voice present in the song with a deep and dense bass line, bringing all the emotion present in the lyrics, causing goosebumps.

However, the duo isn't alone in this release. None other than Ricardo Villalobos has also left his trademark with a great remix, featuring fuller grooves and inserting multiple textures for the track. Finally, Trepanado brought all his dance floor experience and rich musical baggage to print a delicious version, worthy of a good Cocada! It was the plurality that the debut release needed. Enjoy it without moderation!

O Cocada, projeto que surgiu como um difusor do talento musical presente em toda a América Latina, rapidamente propagou suas sonoridades para os quatro cantos do mundo tornando-se uma iniciativa grandiosa para a música eletrônica. Não poderíamos estar mais felizes por este momento, o primeiro release do Cocada como gravadora ganhou a luz do dia com a participação de alguns artistas ilustres com uma linda história por trás.

A belíssima capa foi ilustrada pela brasileira Paula Dornelles, artista dedicada à produção de artes experimentais que conseguiu transmitir através de todo seu potencial criativo a profundidade do significado presente na palavra liberdade, uma pequena amostra do talento latino-americano também nas artes visuais. 

No disco, quem abre os trabalhos é o duo brasileiro Diogo Vaille e Marcelo Abreu aka Bruce Leroys com “Liberdade” (Original Vocal Version), uma releitura de um clássico da música popular brasileira. Os artistas conseguiram unir perfeitamente a voz melancólica presente na canção com uma linha de baixo densa e profunda, evocando toda a emoção presente na letra que chegam a causar arrepios.

Mas a dupla não está sozinha neste release. Ninguém menos que Ricardo Villalobos também deixou sua marca registrada com um ótimo remix, apresentando grooves mais cheios e inserindo múltiplas texturas para a faixa. Por fim, Trepanado trouxe toda sua experiência de pista e rica bagagem musical para imprimir uma versão deliciosa de saborear, digna de uma boa cocada! Era a pluralidade que o release de estreia precisava. Aprecie sem moderação.

Sonja, how are you keeping – please tell us about the mix..

How am i keeping? as usual, slowly ;) I’m going on in my own flow, where my interest leads me. I’ve been working the last 5 months on a soundtrack for the Swiss tv’s new branding. that was a new experience, quite challenging I must say. Now it’s over and I can focus on electronic music again. A couple of remixes are in the oven, amongst them one for Adil Hiani, a great Marrocain artist from Cosmo Records and I do my little techno travels, as I say, as usual.

This mix is a very long tale, but I doubt anyone has the interest in reading about it! To make a long story short, when Daniel asked me to provide him with a mix for the 11th Lomidhigh Mixtape, I was very pleased and remembered our few encounters, like at Culture-Box in Copenhagen, where it sounds raw. I don’t do many podcast, the few I did were always going everywhere, from quiet sounds to jumping tunes so this time I decided to make a complete club mix, from beginning to end. raw and straight! For sure it’s not one to be listen to in the bedroom on Sundays ;)

Where was the mix recorded? How was the atmosphere?

It was recorded live in one shot at the Milk Klub – r.i.p – in Geneva at the end of February, on a sunny Friday morning, when the club was actually closed. I’ve spent many nights in there, although the club only existed for less than a year, felt really happy to do it there at this time.

What got you into dj’ing?

I think as every DJ, I was first a clubber, or maybe better said a raver. As your musical taste refines, you slowly feel the need to feed yourself with that particular sound you might not find at every party, so I started to buy records, and equipment. At this time, Geneva had a great underground scene, and it was not difficult to ocupy free spaces to throw parties. basements, warehouses, openair gravel pits.. I was 17. At the end it’s like a teenage hobby that lasts forever. or do we call it passion?

How is the techno/house scene in Geneve ? Daria told me that you used to play together at Weetamix with Luciano and herself… Was that when you started as a dj?

No, actually that was already like a good 5 years later. Weetamix is the only good and real club we’ve ever had here. As I said before we had a fantastic alternative scene in Geneva, but that was a long time ago. When I started to play regularly at Weetamix, that other underground scene was seeing it’s places disappearing one after the other, to a nearly total vanishing point today. The potential has always been there, and it’s still the case today, but our politicians have decided differently. They prefer a clean international image to a vibrant and creative alternative society.

What was your childhood dream to do as a grown up?

oh, I had many, but it always had to do with gathering people together in order to share something in common.

You’ve been playing a lot of different places around the world, which city do you enjoy the most?

Every city has it’s ups and downs, and what I like the most is despite the small size of our electronic community, you will find the same dance moves, groove knowledges and smile over the faces in every one of them.

What is your favourite club?

always this question ;) I don’t really have a favourite place to play in particularity, I already have many in mind while writting these words! so, ok, to name just a few, past, present and future: Club der Visionaere in Berlin, for that so special freedom feeling you don’t get anywhere else – Kruthuset in Stockholm, for the ever changing creative structure – Arma 17 in Moscow, for the massive, yet sensual effect – Weetamix in Geneva, for all the memories..

..and for you, what makes a club a good club?

well, a balanced mixture of everything, good audience, good promoters, good artists, good soundsystem, good lightening.. and that little plus you can’t really name, that makes it rumble just dirty enough to get yourself loose.

As one of the founding fathers of Slovenian techno, Valentino Kanzyani has been involved in the country’s dance scene since the mid 1990s. A celebrated DJ first and foremost, Valentino built a solid reputation for himself whilst he was resident spinner of Ambasada Gavioli - Slovenia’s most famous electronic music club. His fame grew when he started spinning on three turntables as standard.

Joining forces with fellow countryman and techno champion Umek, Valentino saw his first release in 1999 under the moniker Recycled Loops. Due to the success of their joint EPs, Valentino Kanzyani and Umek set up Recycled Loops as a record label, which further helped establish Valentino as a major player in Eastern Europe’s techno scene. A number of world tours, festival appearances and big club gigs followed.


Whilst Valentino’s sound has evolved over the years, he is committed to protecting the art of the DJ with real integrity. Valentino set up his label Jesus Loved You in 2005, for instance, just as digital downloading was becoming the main dissemination channel for the music industry. Instead of joining the trend, Valentino decided to release his label’s music mainly on vinyl as a way to support the true original format of the DJ. And it is his love for vinyl that has seen him flourish today, to become one of most respected underground vinyl djs around.


Through 2012, Valentino released a series of Eps on Cadenza in the build up to his debut artist album ‘Love & Gratitude’. The latest EP as well as a continuous mixed cd which includes all tracks from the project was released in April 2013. The project showcases Valentino Kanzyani’s underground house vision and it also represents a new chapter in Valentino Kanzyani’s career – as part of Cadenza’s booking agency.
