Valeria Radchenko is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multimedia artist based in London. Their debut album VISIONS is a collection of 12 alternative/electronic tracks recorded between 2020-2024. In 2023, Valeria received funding from music charity, Help Musicians, to finish recording and release the album.

VISIONS bubbles with versatility, combining electric instrumentation (guitar and bass) with club influences; drawing connections between a wide range of genres, from jazz to dubstep, from trip hop to house. The backbone of Valeria’s music is their voice, which acts as a guide, steering the listener through intimately personal landscapes and into gorgeously surreal worlds.

The 12 songs are autobiographical but infused with hints of fantasy. Lyrically, they explore concepts such as love without attachment, embracing sexuality, transforming challenging experiences into strengths, and collective liberation. Playful yet sincere, Valeria’s music subverts expectations in exciting ways.

“VISIONS documents the process of me learning to produce. It’s an homage to my love of music, and the excitement I feel for the limitless potential of digital music production. I love the idea of taking a song for a walk - moving a certain sound into a different space, and expanding it into a whole different world, before moving back to where the song began.

It started with this idea of, what if I could make the music I hear in my head? And where I’ve ended is with music that I couldn’t have imagined, because it had to be created this way - I had to spend years on it. It’s a crystallised version of years of learning, experimenting, refining, and ultimately returning to the rawness of the demos, of that moment of pure channelled emotion, before the rational mind turns on and starts to judge.

It’s truly a product of all the music I’ve ever loved, drawing threads all the way back to my childhood, hearing house, garage and pop on the radio. Then as an adult, discovering electronic genres such as drum and bass, trying to make dance music, learning about mixing and really struggling with it, and in the end returning to where I started with songwriting as a teen - playing instruments. Learning to play the bass and focusing on my love of singing were the final keys to finishing the album.”

Crawling into the power of  ᕯ, a new layer of wisdom is revealed to the elder, the old one, the wise one, having integrated all experiences and sat in the witnessing role with clarity. The archetype of  ᕯ  is the embodiment of ancient knowledge, detachment, surrender, acceptance, humility, and a space of deep pause. In the depths of their being they store myths, their own life stories, experiences, pilgrimages, which they share with the people over the fire.  ᕯ  radiates hope gathered in the darkness, holding death as a close friend instead of an enemy. Trusting in Spirit and the cycle of rebirth, they can hand their power away to move into wholeness.

I explore sound as a form of touch. I’m interested in how sound can alter our state of consciousness; how we use it to communicate, connect and transform. 

I’m particularly interested in the emotional potential of electronic music - how it can make us feel things that can’t be felt otherwise, or that we didn’t know were within, how we can work with technology to express what is human.
