THE SOUL OF MACADAMIA / Hybrid set by PIRE

Valeria Pire, Venezolana radicada en Bogotá desde hace cuatro años.  Desde muy pequeña desarrolló su gusto por la música bajo la tutela de sus padres, el compositor Franklin Pire y la directora coral Lourdes Franco.

A la edad de 15 años, inicia sus estudios en el Conservatorio José Luis Paz de la ciudad de Maracaibo, en la cátedra de canto, donde inicia clases de canto lírico con la soprano Linda Marín Carpio y al mismo tiempo, en razón de sus condiciones vocales, es elegida como soprano para formar parte de la Coral Antiphona, agrupación de la que formó parte por 12 años y con la cual recibió importantes premios en prestigiosos y diversos certámenes nacionales e internacionales de la música coral.

Fué en Colombia, donde descubrió su interés por la música electrónica, explorando los ritmos del groove y el techno con un toque de ritmos afro latinos y sonidos percutivos e iniciando sus estudios de producción musical con Daniel Ramos - 98rpm .

Su nombre de Dj es su apellido Pire, en honor a la raíz que le enseñó la música, su familia.

Pire Is the DJ alter ego of Valeria Pire, who explores around the raw techno, tribal, breaks and hardgroove mixing percussive rhythms to create a latinamerican influenced sound.

Since 2023 she started a new hybrid set project to sing while she mixes "The Soul Of Macadamia" where Valeria explores psychedelic, downtempo and ambient sounds.

Valeria was born in Lagunillas, Zulia, on December 30, 1989. From a young age, Valeria developed her taste for music under the guidance of her parents, composer Franklin Pire and choir director Lourdes Franco.

Then in 1992, at the age of two, she had the amazing experience of going to live in Ukraine, where her father undertook his academic studies at the Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky National Conservatoire in Kyiv. It was in Ukraine that Valeria first came close to music when she was gifted a violin for her birthday, starting private classes.

On returning to Venezuela, Valeria did not give up her calling and continued her musical education under the charge of her mother, who suggested that she continue. Needless to say, her mother is the foundation from whom Valeria gets her strong convictions.

At the age of 15, she started her studies at the José Luis Paz Conservatoire in Maracaibo, Venezuela, specializing in singing, where she started lyrical singing classes with the soprano Linda Marín Carpio. At the same time, because of her vocal abilities, she was selected as a soprano to form part of the Coral Antiphona, a group that she would be part of for 12 years. Valeria has not only confined herself to being a musician, but she has fully grasped the search for her polysemous language, entering into the field of Graphic Design and obtaining her professional degree in 2010.

With the Coral Antiphona, Valeria Pire, like her collective, received important awards in prestigious and diverse national and international choral music competitions.

In January 2015, together with her family, she started the project Capilla Musica Ricercare, dedicated to the interpretation of old music, acting as Soloist Soprano in addition to developing the Project’s entire graphic production.

In October of the same year, she moved to the country’s capital together with her sister María José Pire to form part of the Camerata Barroca de Caracas directed by the master Isabel Palacios, participating in two concerts in the Rios Reyna hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater.

Now, Valeria is living in Bogotá, researching and exploring electronic sounds with her classical background experience.
