Here are some rough mixes from a Studio Session in Bangkok 2018. My goal was to just play whatever comes in my mind without seeking for perfection but for pure honesty in music. I also experimented with some sounds and was playing around with small riffs I had in mind. It was recorded at Mori's Studio in Bangkok.

Just as a portrait artist tries to describe people as accurately as possible, so, in my compositions, I attempt to give expression to people and their personalities through music. For this album, three extraordinary women have inspired me with their warmth and beauty to transform my experiences with them into music. The resulting pieces serve as a sort of portrait by reflecting in their characteristic soundscapes the corresponding personalities.

Bambini felici

Valerio Lepori, born 1989 in Zurich, started playing the trombone when he was 8 years old and successfully completed his master’s degree in music education and composition in January 2016. He studied the trombone with Nils Wogram, Andreas Tschopp and Markus Wüest and composition with Ed Partyka and Dieter Ammann. At the age of 16 he taught himself how to play the piano and wrote several compositions and arrangements for various ensembles. Currently he's on the road as a live musician in a number of bands including The Sheiks, The Jammin Band, Klischée, The Killin' Jivers, Soulmanicas, Der Grosse Bär and others.
