“Journey to the Interior” opens with a gentle burst of birdsong, like the first light spreading across an early landscape. In the next breath, the entire band enters together, merging bass, piano, drums, and guitar into a slow, bluesy chord sequence that lays a steady foundation. Each instrument contributes its distinct voice from the start, creating a tapestry of sound: the bass provides a resonant depth, like the earthy base of a valley; the piano adds sparkling, open chords that spread like light across still waters; the guitar leans into expressive bends, evoking branches swaying in a low breeze; and the drums, subtle but constant, mimic the measured rhythm of a slow-moving current. 

     The ensemble captures a mood of introspection and immersion, inviting the listener to explore new emotional terrain, each instrument revealing textures and tones that hint at unseen paths and hidden depths within the musical landscape.

that whisper in the leaves
while branches sway

in cool sweet cadence.

The faun plays his pipe
and dances as he taps 
through gorges and glades,

wading through rivers 
that wind to the sea.

Listen! the wind in the reeds
whispers the tales of ancient
earth, of days when we too

danced to the breath
of the faun.

Dance of the Faun

"Evenin' Walk"

Sultry stroll through the city as evening falls. Skies drift from deep orange to rich purple to lush dark night when stars begin to flicker. We walk from the quiet street where our loft is located, down to the street and to the tree-lined boulevard that will take us downtown. The night grows deep, richer in the evening sea breeze. We walk through the wharfs, watching the boats and the seagulls, then head to the zone where jazz clubs drift in the night clothed in neon light and saxophone textures. We settle at a table, order a scotch, and sway to the orchestra on stage. The sultry evening has turned into a lush musical experience that satisfies both body and soul.

Evenin' Walk

Sound Effigies
Valhjim

In the vault of night, a lone saxophone
builds effigies of sound—shapes appear
in waves, forests of frequencies, textures

of color like rims of clouds in a sunset.
Together, they play a symphony of forms,
fluid rhythms that interlace, each instrument

a thread of morphing light weaving a tapestry
of topographic shapes. All senses intervene
in these moving forms, luring us into the dance.

Fingers touch threads of light as hands caress
contours of sound; eyes sail on velvet-textured
surfaces. The nose can taste the sweet aromas

streaming off the waves of sound as the music
plays on and enthralls the soul with heartfelt
melodies, dancing fluid in the vault of night.

RIVULETS
in five breaths of unfolding awareness

I. THE ORIGIN (Silence Before Sound)
Water flows, not to be heard, but felt.
Reversed guitar chords surge gently—waves drawn back into the sea.
Each chord grows in intensity, disappears into its own shadow.
High note (single, crystalline) emerges like starlight—
only to vanish.
This is presence, not melody.

Mode: Song of the Rivulet
Pulse: Water Stream
Play with restraint; leave space for the silence to speak.

II. EARTHWALK (Pulse of the Body)
Acoustic guitar strolls with simple intention.
Bass —solid, grounded.
Slide guitar sings long lines: no rush, only breath and wind on bare skin.
The rivulet sings on—sound as flow, presence, spirit.
Synth pad shimmers quietly, like the rain drizzle in a cool afternoon.

Mode: Dorian / Pentatonic overlays
Pulse: slow and steady—leisurely, nonchalant.
Each note settles like raindrops on leaves of trees.

III. SPIRIT IN MOTION (Chorus of Currents)
Guitar loop—the form of the stream;
a mantra of change in stillness, soft and circular.
Bass rises in octave pulses, then walks along with grace: heartbeat.
Saxophone enters as voice of the present—mindfulness.

IV. REFLECTIONS IN AIR (Fragments of Form)
Percussion scatters like stones skipping across a pond.
Guitar chords break into arpeggios—falling, floating.
Reversed chord swells return—this time, breathier, like exhaled prayer.
A flute motif glides in—solitary, weightless, like a feather in the breeze.
It does not lead—it invites.

Mode: Aeolian / suspended harmonies
Pulse: implied, not enforced
Dynamics: from whisper to rising hush

V. SILENCE SPEAKS (Between Notes)
Guitar pattern loops between two notes: A and Ab—
a dance of one small step forward, one step backwards in a loop.
Sound clusters rise—like birds breaking into consciousness.5
Jazz guitar phrases emerge, intertwined with  saxophone motifs—
echoes of one another.
Voices recede, absorbed into long slide of guitar pulse.
The mystery interval—minor second—lingers, dissolves in the distance.

Mode: Mystery space built by A and Ab
Pulse: That of the body-mind unity; the sounds of nature and spirit.
Feel: meditative, the peace that defieth understanding.

I love insects!!! When i was 12-13 i collected all beetles i could get in Germany and Austria. I was obsessed with Beetles. I had 800-900 different species collected. It was my specialist field. When getting older i decided not to kill them anymore! A Photo would be enough now.

I LOVE creaky floorboards. ❤️ Always have. They’re the little confessions the world doesn’t know it’s making. How could it?

This particular set — oh, these sonic beauties — were discovered in a small museum in Lille, France. A place so very quiet you could almost hear the air move somehow. The curator said the building used to be a tailor’s shop. But the neighbours reckoned it had been an intelligence post during the war; the kind of place where secrets secreted themselves into the grain of the wood.

So I waited until closing time. Set up my recorder. And walked. Slowly.

Every step had its own personality — one a whisper, one a sigh, one a shriek like a door … perhaps remembering something it shouldn’t. Somewhere between the third and fourth creak, though, the air changed and tilted weirdly. You know that cold, coiled feeling — when you’re not sure if you’ve just been noticed by someone? But I was alone ... I WAS alone.

I kept recording.

Later, when I played the sounds back, there it was: a super faint shuffle beneath and between the creaks. A pause. Then two extra footsteps … that weren’t mine. Perfect rhythm. Perfect distance. Like a partner in a dance waiting years for the next cue, which had now arrived, years later.

So I built the track around that. A haunted duet between spy and spectre, each trying to decode the other’s silence.
