Solidarity in Times of Corona means: #leavenoonebehind
We’re experiencing an unparalleled humanitarian, sanitary and political catastrophe. In face of the global Corona-Pandemic we need to act solidly united more than ever and support those who are particularly affected. Those are the elderly, poor, homeless, immunocompromised people and moreover the refugees and displaced people at the European borders.

For how long can a person bear the inhumane conditions at the EU-borders? The circumstances in the camps on the Greek islands have been worsening for years. People seeking protection on the Greek islands and at the borders are exposed to heavy violence and systematic discrimination. Greece and the EU have in fact abolished basic human rights and the right for asylum in the past weeks. Refugees are being fired at, the conditions in camps like Moria are purposely kept inhumanely because the EU aims to deter those seeking shelter. Lawlessness is dominating where solidarity and humanity are needed the most. The situation in the overcrowded camps is disastrous and it lacks everything from medical aid to basic sanitary needs. The people are defencelessly exposed to the pandemic as they are trapped and isolated on the islands. Protective measures which are being carried out on the European mainland are simply impossible to be employed in the camps. (See more: seebruecke.org/leave-no-one-behind/)

In Moria, water is becoming rare and is distributed in dangerously low rations – immediate support is required now. Based on the statement by the NGO Seebrücke our collective has decided to publish a Soli-compilation as quick as possible. The compilation will be divided into 3 EPs which will be released on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday of the coming week. A variety of artists – 16 in total – from many different genres of electronic music will be on the release, contributing to the project. We are aware that this is only a drop in the bucket in times like these. However, any form of solidarity is needed at the moment . Rhythm Büro's second VA release comes together as something of a legacy of doing parties and running a label for nearly 6 years. While the Ukrainain founders and core team is three members, the extended collective is composed of DJs and producers who've often played the parties, fans and friends alike from around the world. This EP is a celebration of that community: the Kyiv-based initiative has brought a handful of the parties' friends together for one beautiful four-tracker. After a run of solo EPs in their catalog by the likes of Zadig, Haze, Na Nich and Cyspe, Rhythm Büro's 7th release includes such artists as the Italian duo a_000, their compatriots Orion, one-half of Artefakt, Lapien, and the up-and-coming French techno prodigy, Hydrangea.
The record is intentionally divided into two different parts: the A side presents deep techno done very well, while the B side explores slightly housier sonic ventures. A1's ‘Lilium’ is a track that might be best known among some of the heads; it was posted on soundcloud for a short time, but now sees the proper pressing it deserves. Its palate appropriately sets the deep and hypnotic tone for the record. A2’s ‘Half Awake’ by Hydrangea provides an agreeably logical progression, albeit arguably more attuned to peak time dance floor hours. The A side represents what Rhythm Büro as a label does best: techno not only for your feet and moving, but also for your head and dreaming.
The B side of the record sees a nice shift towards groovier and brighter yet deep tunes. Lapien’s ‘Tainted’ on B1 follows a similar fate as its A1 counterpart, as the track was originally produced years ago, and only recently was given its final touches before finally being released. On B2 is a track by the Italian duo, Orion who are well-known for releasing records on their own label of the same name, as well as on Molly’s RDV imprint. Both tunes signify Rhythm Büro’s interest in and commitment to environments and sonic scapes other than that of the typical 'dark-sweaty-thumping-warehouses.' The RB team is happy to say that more such examples of sonic diversity can be expected from them in future releases. As a label trusted by fans and DJs alike, Rhythm Büro delivers on the unspoken promise of timeless pleasant surprises, for on and off the dancefloor, inside and outside of the club, for a genre that can, at times, lack such a dedicated spectrum and passion.

It’s our huge honour to bring you podcast #121 from the much loved Oslated label founder and owner, Oslon. 

Through his mixes - this being no exception - the Seoul based artist perfectly showcases the art of restrain, while never failing to make a beautiful, long-lasting impression.

As always, while listening to the stories he weaves together, we found ourselves completely immersed from beginning to end, hypnotised by the gentle, gradually ascending rhythms, warm baselines and psychedelic elements, uniting in a spellbinding dance, gifting us with a fresh lease of life.

Our admiration extends to his label, focusing on releases from local underground artists, together with a podcast series and parties in Seoul - an amazing source of inspiration.

It seemed like everything that could go wrong went wrong. Few days after the lockdown, his PC broke down completely. 

Without money to spend and a lot of free time, he decided to use his old laptop again and pour his restless mind into what gives him meaning and a sense of purpose. He started making music. 

Even though the process was frustrating and everything seemed to go slow, he powered through and worked with what he had. In the end, through all the hardship, he created something meaningful. 

He finished his release and went out for a walk. Things were looking up again.
