Episode 9: Trish Sesh (2019)

MEG IS BACK! In this episode, Meg sits down with wordsmith Lisbeth Darsh. Lisbeth has a longstanding reputation in the fitness community for her inspiring prose and her work as one of the founding members of CrossFit Headquarters. Though she has gained a number of accolades over the years, many don’t know she is a prior service member. She and Mentor Meg discuss life as a female Officer, the evolution of fitness in the modern age, coaching and mentoring athletes, Lisbeth’s published work, and more.

Episode 10: Lisbeth Darsh (2019)

In this episode, we talk with Dr. Stacy Sims PhD, a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. She was an exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist at Stanford University from 2007 to 2012, where she specialized in sex differences of environmental and nutritional considerations for recovery and performance, specializing also in women's health and performance.

We sit down with the illustrious Mark England again in this episode to talk positive self-talk, goal-setting, and life-changing internal narrative techniques. Episode 12: Mark England 2.0 (2020)

In this episode, we sit down with Meg's longtime friend, Summer. Summer is a National Guard rotary and fixed wing pilot with a diverse background, a lot of experience, and a lot of life lessons to share. For any single  moms out there trying to stay afloat while juggling work with being a parent, this is the story of a truly inspirational woman who did it with ease. Episode 14: Mental Performance Coach,  Cici (2020)

In this episode, we sit down with Megan Henry. Megan is a First Lieutenant in the Army, an MI officer (35D), and was prior enlisted as a 35F. She played Division One Field Hockey and ran track at American University, and enlisted following her graduation. Last year, she was ranked overall #1 in the United States for Skeleton, a one-man, high speed sled style Winter Olympics event. She is also a member of the Army's World Class Athlete Program. She hopes to compete in the 2020 Winter Olympics.

Episode 15: Megan Henry (2020)

In this episode, we sit down with Marine Corps veteran Emily Schelberg. She is a prior Team USA skeleton competitor, an orthopedic sports medicine nurse practitioner, recipient of the Tillman Scholarship award, CrossFit coach, mom, wife, and general badass. She has extensive experience as an athlete and service member, and regularly mentors our VP athletes. We talk about competing, service, parenthood and more in this episode.

The Valkyrie Project believes women have a seat at the table in defending America, and supports the female warrior athlete through an unprecedented network of community, tactical physical training, and an educational forum. VP enables the woman who will do today what others won’t, so she may do tomorrow what others can’t.
