Influenced by Georges Bataille’s writings on excess, consumption and unreason, Cannibal Metaphysics simulates a day in the life of your workaday Joe who gives himself over to the deep well of instinctual will - that indescribable espirit that resides in all completely repressed shunts - only to find himself in a howling pool of regret subsequent to the passionate act. An apt metaphor for almost all the music Edith Thomas Furey makes.
