VALMS is an emerging post-metal/post-rock band based in North Bay, Ontario. A patient, monolithic sonic onslaught; four walls and a roof of guitars, plastered with a chaos of synths and samples, built on the heavy foundation of thunderous lows and shattering highs of its rhythm section. A new musical venture for frequent collaborators, Mike Perreault (Tundra, Oh The Humanity, White Coals), Sully Sullivan (Ten Kens, David Dino White, Matt Thibeault), Linds Sullivan (Peach Pact, Winternom), Andrew Sowka (Winternom, Faraway Neighbours, summersets) and Vince Aquilina (Faraway Neighbours, Main Street Echo, Kalle Mattson) , VALMS blends their respective influences into a heavy and cathartic instrumental expression. Ripping pages from the playbooks of groups such as the Deftones, Explosions in the Sky, Black Sabbath & Godspeed! You Black Emperor, their debut EP, "Ovata," is out this summer, 2023.
