@fluidmatter is the DJ and producer behind our 26th mix. 

This well-rounded hour tells a full-on story that blends nostalgia with futurism. Arranged with a couple of twists to keep you on your toes.

Sinuously unfurling bass lines + heavy dub delays bring a warm and steamy feeling. Soft and silty, speedy drums layer over subtly driving low ends and ambience. Deliciously delicate pitter-patter; ethereal sass. 

Fluid Matter is a Paris-based DJ, producer, co-manager of the label @virtualforestrecords , and part of French electronic music webzine @seeksicksound .

hyphen mix 026 - Fluid Matter

It’s our pleasure to feature our friend @tangeladj for the 32nd episode of the Herbarium mix series. She put together a magical trippy yet playful mix, we’re in love with its dynamic.  🌳

Here’s a little insight into Tangela’s choice of a plant as a synaesthetic base for her mix -
Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) or kallara as referred to by the Bundjalung People in Northern NSW is a particularly special native tree. They grow in swampy environments next to bodies of water. I have fond memories soaking in tea tree lakes in the northern rivers, stained brown by the leaves stewing, precious oil seeping into the water. For centuries the Aboriginal people have used this plant for medicinal purposes as a natural antiseptic and tea tree lakes were often sacred women’s spaces used in birthing ceremonies. This shrubby tree doesn’t scream for attention amongst the vibrant flora but its significance runs deep, a swampy healer and spiritual protector. This mix is a sensory soak in the soothing, tingly river, dripping with kallara magic.

About Tangela 

Tangela’s style of aural storytelling is as distinct as it is varied. She guides the listener through deep, subby, subterranean worlds, encouraging listeners to float up through spacious, textural soundscapes full of unexpected turns, all with a nimble and playful touch. You’ll find yourself wondering how it is you got here from where you began.

Tangela’s meteoric rise through the underground scene finds its origins in her weekly radio slot on Sydney’s iconic FBi radio 94.5FM, currently in it’s fifth year of broadcasting all things “squelchy, wobbly, gooey, twisty”. Her signature style has translated from the airwaves to dance floors across many of Australia’s cult clubs, DIY warehouses and bush raves, including her own as founder of both dstreet and Minutiae Festival. Her record label Oomycota pushes into the experimental realm of techno, platforming emerging artists from Australia and beyond. 

Alongside curating and throwing DIY events, she is heavily involved in her local community, organising ‘Dance Class’, a series of BIPOC & FLINTA DJ workshops and radio mentorship.

LEVL performed on the third day of #Mostra25 at the Vall d'Hebron Olympic Pavilion.

Forest Drive West, Felix K and DB1 are LEVL. Together, they explore the murky territory between drum & bass, techno and experimental electronics, crafting a distinctive sound that defies the boundaries of genre. The trio's collaboration began with DB1 and Forest Drive West putting out music through Berlin-based Felix K’s label Hidden Hawaii, which led to the formation of LEVL: a combination of each artist’s unique production approach that creates a cohesive and innovative sound. 

LEVL's debut release, “LEVL#1”, was issued in 2019 on Arcola, a sub-label of Warp Records, a bass- and breaks-heavy record showcasing their ability to blend ambient textures with complex rhythms. “LEVL#2”, on Felix K's Nullpunkt label, further explores the intersection of ambient, drum & bass and techno.

Beyond their recorded output, LEVL brings a strong energy to live performances, delivering an immersive and genre-bending musical experience. With meticulous attention to detail, the group pushes the boundaries of electronic music through soundscapes that challenge and captivate listeners.

LEVL (DB1, Felix K & Forest Drive West) @ Mostra 2025 🖤

Eafhm is a multidisciplinary project created by the evolution of different artistic and exploratory stages. Behind the project is @eafhmlive : a sound designer, mastering engineer, producer, live act, founder of the prolific deep techno label @secuencias_temporales , and collaborator of @syghn . 

For our 29th mix, Eahfm takes you on a winding journey: crisp broken beats and silky ambience, trippy syncopation, constantly introducing new layers that unfurl, wobble, and glisten. Pass through the whirlpool in the center and arrive on the other side in a new environment; lush, soft and introspective. An auditory Yang to Yin 🌀 

Eafhm as a project has developed different facets, including a career as an interpreter and audio producer when experimenting with a wide variety of musical sequences. It seeks the integration of oscillating interpersonal ideas among the variety of solid conceptions. This project also defines the transformation of the artist that has developed under different aliases for many years. Each interpretation is made to create an atmosphere based on sound art, generative art and Techno in its different variations.
