@c0mput3rm4n is one of the more unreadable and consequently rewarding producers in the world. To condense the Cm corpus as amalgamating plunderphonics, concrète-dungeoncore, distressed sampledelia and the musings in collage of an absurdist arcade cabinet, would yet understate. There is a constancy in Cm’s work (across a number of aliases) of repurposing and recontextualisation, assertions of dreams as memory, memories as dreams, and a sincere will to provide a sonic picture of musical sites where everything is retrievable yet decayed into dubiety.

So at the same excursions do we find Cm for his Realist mix. Oneiric atonality, snippings of prior visual media equal parts bawdy and angelic, familiar drum patterns worked into dissonance and instability. Composed of work that inspired (and outtakes from) the awesome 2025 album More, the mix continues an enquiry into the the peopled possibility-spaces of medial marginalia.

Thus the memories of the machines and the people memoried by machines, beneath which lies a beauty of nostalgia. But a reframed nostalgia that is not a static romanticism of the inaccessible but a piratic attitude where nostalgia funds a bold series of hope and farce. Between hope and farce emerges a poetry of specks and slivers, where retrieval constitutes an indeterminate yet essential intimation of reality.
