Valve Rider are a raw, powerful, original 4 piece Rock ‘n’ Roll band from the North West UK, delivering blues-soaked, riffy rock in dirty truckloads.
 
The band’s live performances have carved them a reputation as a must-see live act, with no two gigs ever the same. Freedom of expression, pure musicianship and raw feeling are a major part of what makes the band stand out.
  
Guitarist Nathan Moore founded the band with vocalist Adam Ward and bassist/multi-instrumentalist Paul Glover, where together they learned their craft on the road. As a band they have gigged the length and breadth of the UK many times over, written and recorded a vast amount of material and, most of all, had a blast doing it. 
 
This bond and shared experiences, as well as the fact that they are a group of close friends who’ve grown up together doing what they love to do, really comes through 
in their music.
 
Moore’s distinctive playing and writing form the bedrock of the band’s sound, upon which sits front-man Ward’s own writing and equally powerful vocals and presence. Glover, the final founding member, brings a tasty groove and natural sense of improvisation to the table, as well as being a great writer himself. After taking a brief break from the spotlight (during which time the band recorded and released their debut album and music video Bring It On Heavy with a different rhythm section), Glover has returned to the fold – much to the delight of the band’s fan-base.  
 
Completing the band perfectly is recent addition Matt Anderson on drums. His fresh blood and hunger drives the music home with a solid, powerful groove, fitting in as if he had been in the band since its conception.
