Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world. Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy and connection between the two are contagious from the stage.

After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream – “Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo) as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club-style on TrybesOf. Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on Beatport. Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound compilation CD.

Double Touch has performed their DJ set with live instrumentation at events all around the globe, including Return to Rio Festival 2019 (Australia), Cercle (Omnia Indonesia), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco, USA), Cloud 9 (Fiji), Glow Rooftop (Vietnam) and Omnia Bali (Indonesia)

Having had the No.1 spots on the Australian iTunes Classical charts (2018, 2017, 2016) and debuting at #2 on the ARIA Classical/Crossover Charts for her album ‘Pop Alchemy’ (January, 2019), Universal Music/Decca Records signed concert pianist & composer Van-Anh Nguyen became the first Australian-Vietnamese to ever in history enter the US iTunes Classical Charts. Van-Anh has become a worldwide sensation and in-demand artist, leading an intense touring career across the globe. Her first single ‘Children’ with Universal landed her in the Australian (#2), US (#13) and Canadian Classical Charts (#9).

Born to Vietnamese refugee musicians and having started piano studies at the tender age of 13 months old, Australian born concert pianist gave her Sydney Opera House debut at age 8. 

Her bubbly contagious personality and emotive playing has graced the stages of Australia including the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall and at such events as the Mostly Mozart Series, World Youth Day, the Chinese Chamber Music Festival, AFCM, Segerstrom Performing Arts Center (LA), Herbst Theater (SF). She regularly guests with the Ho Chi Minh City Symphony Orchestra (HCMC, Vietnam) and Vietnamese American Philharmonic Orchestra (California, USA). 

Her versatility as a pianist allows her to collaborate across genres, having worked with internet sensations TwoSet Violin, soul singer Ronee Martin,  classical violinist Filip Pogady through to being a recording solo pianist for various composers as well as arranging for other musicians’ live shows.

Van-Anh is the creator and owner of Perfect Pairings, a concert concept where she pairs music to wine. This concept has appeared across 6 countries, working with various vineyards, sommeliers and chefs and has subsequently led to her, launching her own wine. 

Van-Anh currently has 7 albums released on all major digital music outlets. 2016 saw her complete a successful 15-city concert tour through China performing at sold out venues such as the Forbidden City Concert Hall and the Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre. Van-Anh features in L’Officiel Magazine, Elle Magazine Vietnam and Harpers Bazaar Magazine as a music icon and she has had her own TV show on Discovery Channel Asia.
