I've been retaking Madie's wonderful work already eight years ago with my rendering of her beautiful track "Wishing" …
Now I just stumbled upon some interesting co-incidentiality – the play-along-ability of her "Take The Night Off" https://soundcloud.com/redrooted/take-the-night-off-laura (by Laura Marling, I suppose) with my recent "Nixipianonono" ambientitios backgroundious track… 
I simply overlayed them and added some minor engeneering to boost the experience… 
So, here's what we've been coming up with…

Over at the simply great archive.org ( https://archive.org/details/78rpm ) I recently stumbled upon a massive collection of Caruso recordings from the early times of audio recording itself. Most of them seem to be taken from original cylinder recordings, some of them have seemingly been digitally restored (not always to their advantage) some haven't. All of them are nevertheless great and I've been listening to them for quite a while. This particular one touched me today, so I decided to play around with it a little.

According to a 4-year-old linguist , the language heard throughout this track appears to be "Atyhnish" or "Athiunish" (depending on the part of the – not further specified! – country of it's origin you happen to visit…)
Despite it's somewhat African sound, it may as well have been spoken in Vineta (look it up!)or Atlantis. Or maybe it's the language the legendary "Voynich"-manuscript was originally written in… Who knows and – more importantly – who cares!

While "Tubuai" is inspired by CLAP!CLAP!'s work(and not trying to copy it), I just now (one day after my release)found another link/album of said artist [ http://www.tayibebba.com/ ] ,
which shows another strange parallel: 
Let me quote the words of XLR8R's Glenn Jackson : 
"Earlier this month, Italian producer Cristiano Crisci (a.k.a. Digi G'Alessio) dropped his debut LP as Clap! Clap! via the Black Acre imprint. Entitled Tayi Bebba, the record was conceptualized as a tour of an imagined island, with each track said to represent a place, event, or ritual (the LP even came accompanied by a full story, explaining what each production represented in G'Alessio's imagined world)." Believe me, to find out about this was quite a surprise! 
I didn't know about the "imagined island", when I named the track after a real one, nor did I intentionally write the description of an imaginary/fictional language with CLAP!CLAP!s work in mind (remember: I did not know about it at the time being!)! 

All there's left to say is, that this was no intentional theft of this admireable artist's ideas (whose long time, wide range output of highest quality sound [ check this, for example > http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Digi_G_Alessio/ ] makes some of us look like lazy bastards!!), but a strange coincidence…

O.K.,… well… 
I just stumbled upon this and would like to give you a description in their own words: 

" What kind of sounds make up London’s oldest and top multidisciplinary university? We ran a competition for audio recordings from across UCL, related to work, research, studies and extracurriculars.

We’ve uploaded the best of these sounds, and we’ve published most of them under Creative Commons. You may download, remix and sample these recordings in your own work – just be sure to credit the sound recordist and UCL. And let us know what you create. We’ll like and repost your track."

Now… I came up with this: 

I wanted to create new tracks from these recordings without adding anything but sound engineering: cutting, pitching, reversing… whatever came to mind, but no additional sounds whatsoever! Use what you have and try to create something new.

Again, all sound was taken from the aforementioned recording. Nothing was added, I just sound- engineered and tweeked around… quick and dirty fun… 

The result came out quite a bit "industrial" and dark, but the original didn't allow for much melodic work. But you may prove me wrong and make a little happy joy-joy song from it – I'll be more than happy to hear it!

Nevertheless I finally managed to glue the bits of another of those great pieces together after ripping it apart like … well … birth was somehow given to this noisy little bastard…
