A note about why I chose the title of the song, I wrote this after going through some stressful things and coming out the other end in a way better place. It also seemed appropriate in terms of sound, since it's very thick and heavy, and has dark and light elements.

This song was originally performed as an acoustic jam with my good friend Shannon F. providing rhythm guitar and vocals. When I recorded it I felt it sounded really cool as an instrumental rock song with electric guitars and percussion.

My Own Way

Guitars and bass were performed by me and recorded using GarageBand. The guitar was written by me and the bassline was written by my late friend and former bandmate Denton Kirk. I used pre-recorded percussion and sound effects from GarageBand.

I originally performed this song with my band in high school, Xplicit. The main riff is the first thing I ever wrote. Since I recorded this as an instrumental, I decided to name the song after the band.

I had a guitar riff and I wanted to turn it into a rock song that kicked off with some heavy duty bass. Long story short, The Riddle of Steel was born! The song title is a reference to Conan the Barbarian (1982), a movie I also sampled a short audio clip from.

The guitar sound in this song is very rough and raw. Anxiety leaves you feeling like a raw nerve and you have to release that nervous energy somehow. Hence the name of the song, Discharge.
