PS11 is the project of Matthew Antico, a NY DJ and producer whose introduction to electronic music began in the mid-90s while living in Los Angeles. After relocating to Queens, NY, in 1996, he adopted the alias DJ ELEVEN and immersed himself in the NYC underground techno scene, sharpening his skills as a DJ by spinning fast-paced percussive techno at underground parties and weekly residencies.
After a long hiatus from DJing, in 2018, Matt took on the name PS11 and became deeply focused on music production, learning the intricacies and technical aspects of electronic music creation. Adopting a less is more approach, his sound is heavily influenced by his past, often combining repetitive percussive elements and evolving synths, while maintaining a focus on the dance floor through heavy bass-driven rhythms.
In October of 2022, PS11 landed his first release and has had a steady flow of EP & VA releases on labels such as, EvilGroove, ASS3, E-HRZN Records, BCCO, Duplicity, Concrete Tbilisi, Balls Baile, and BLUR to name a few. In March of 2024 PS11 became a resident with Miami Based E-HRZN Records and has a hand full of upcoming releases this year.

BLURCAST 17 | PS11

DBFB - is a Croatian techno project founded by Bosnyak and Observer. They
have released music on labels such as Planet Rhythm, Secession, Illegal Alien,

Synergie, Ri7mo, Blur, Kongres, Rave Your Soul, and After Us. DBFB has per-
formed at key events and festivals across Croatia, including SEASTAR Festival,

SHIP, Seasplash, and Tunels, as well as in nearly every major club in the coun-
try. Bosnyak, with previous projects, has performed in Prague, Ljubljana, Graz,

and Sarajevo.
Their latest vinyl release on Planet Rhythm is climbing the techno music
charts and has received excellent feedback from leading industry figures. The
Rhythmascend series has gained significant popularity, with support from
DVS1, Steffi, Holden Federico, Matrixxman, Marcel Dettmann, and The Advent,
among others. Their music is regularly played and supported by legendary
artists such as Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, and Dax J.
DBFB recently recorded a podcast for the K92 series, featuring exclusively
their own productions. They also have two upcoming releases in Gunjack's
series, titled DUBWARS, which will be released as vinyl on Planet Rhythm.

BLURCAST 22 | DBFB

Michael Ius is a Romanian classical guitarist who turned techno producer.  He started producing techno in 2019 and developed his sound through constant experimentation. 
Now, with releases on Maloer Records, WSNWGBTZ, OUT OF PLACE, SYXT, Duplicity, and his own IUS series on Bandcamp, he is supported by underground DJs and labels.

For ONID, the perfect opening set is entirely dependent on the setting, lineup, room, and atmosphere. While she enjoys a slow and gradual build, she also embraces experimentation, using the opportunity to test the crowd and set the tone for the night. Her approach involves balancing moody, atmospheric tracks with more energetic and distinctive selections, carefully managing breaks to maintain a steady, hypnotic flow.

Hedwig, better known as ONID, is a DJ and curator based in Groningen, the Netherlands. Her style is defined by a driving energy, often incorporating deep modular elements. She has a distinctive taste, shaped by a love for unconventional and experimental sounds, with a strong focus on growling basslines and intricate percussion patterns. Her sets create a playful yet captivating energy, always full of surprises.

She has performed at renowned venues such as OOST, Raum, and PIP and has appeared at festivals including Paradigm and Onder de Radar. Beyond her DJ performances, she plays an active role in organizing events and holds a residency at SPOKEN. Additionally, she contributes to the programming of Relate Radio, a local station dedicated to experimental and niche sounds.

Welcome to another episode of the Gekiga podcast. 

For episode 07, we brought out one of our homies and fave comrades in the war of art, DJ, producer, and label head: Ramsey Neville.

With a consistent string of releases on a variety of labels such as Planet Rhythm, Cocoon recordings, Agape Records, and his own label Impulse Control, Ramsey’s production has been featured in sets all over the world, by underground DJs and big names alike. 

Aside from production, Ramsey is a highly skilled DJ, who, for years, has showcasing his energetic, hard hitting style to sold out crowds in the NYC and broader U.S. circuit, and has recently begun breaking ground in Europe and beyond. 

For Ramsey’s Gekiga mix, we challenged him to give us a different side of his aesthetic that has yet to be seen. We wanted to see Ramsey go raw, vicious, and sonically aggressive, and he did not disappoint! The end resulting mix, Gekiga Podcast episode 07, is a gritty mix full of attitude, and embodies a style and flavor that no one has heard Ramsey tackle before.
