I made this song for my beloved dog, my baby, my one and only, my angel - Chance. I got Chance in Dec 2009, he was about 3 months old. His unofficial birthday was 09/09/09. Since I got him we had a lot of great times, some times apart, some not so great times - but through it all he stuck beside me and showed unconditional love through addictions, mental health, and times when I needed him the most, and he was my faithful service helper, and when I was sick he stayed in the hospital with me and attended appointments and pharmacy visits. When I was sad he'd lick my face and snuggle in. When I was happy we shared smiles. All my nieces and nephews have always had him in their lives. He loved going for bus rides, camping, bacon, snuggles, car rides, the annual Calgary Stampede Parade (we went every year) and even went to the Stampede a couple times, and pepperoni, cheese, '2 plain McDoubles' and beef jerky were his favorite foods. He used to fall asleep at my feet then slither onto the floor in front of my door for the night lol, and had sleepovers with Grandma a couple times a week. He always was eager to take a picture and enjoyed when Grandma sang her worship music. He was so smart, he could "find the weed", "get the puffer", and "show me" things with his paw. When he was younger he used to bite the vacuum lol. Anyone who met him instantly fell in love with him, including me and that love will never go away. He was for all intents and purposes my child/son. But after 14 years he was old and on 03/20/2024 at 3:37pm he passed away peacefully and comfortably at the vet with me and his grandma - his two favorite people in the world. Before he went to the rainbow bridge we took him downtown for a stroll and out for a fire and KFC in the mountains as part of saying farewell, which he loved even though we had to pull him in a wagon. I love you my boy. I miss you so damn much. And I'll eagerly meet you at the rainbow bridge once my time comes.

So, I made this in hopes of capturing Sheriff Judd's dedication to his community, alongside the men and women of law enforcement who are fighting the non-stop battle against drugs going to kids. This is my first ever live vocal track and I just started my musical journey Nov 2023. I know its not great buy I want to enter anyways - I did this with a laptop, a $50 condenser mic, and a relative in about 2 weeks, less than a year into anything music, and 6 months of self taught Ableton, so it's not bad for a novice! Thanks ma V, we never won but it was fun to work on together and was a fundamental step in my production journey :)

This track was made because of a neighbor and her cat. In October I noticed a young cat roaming around a lot, and he came to my yard often. I didn't want him being put down and hoped he would get home so I didn't do much other than leave out food, water, and the occasional catnip - for him and all the cats without homes. I called him Meowmeow because he meowed a lot and I didn't know his name. I put posts on our local facebook group and asked neighbors if they knew whos he was

On Oct. 13 I found my ID chip reader and looked up the ID in the national database. I made contact with mom of the owner who was listed there. Cat was listed missing since Sept. 5. I got him home the next day when he came around again, he lived right across the street from me. His name is Fernando.

On October 26 he was at my door and I trapped him again. I had to wait hours for someone to be able to retrieve him, then brought him home. 

Then again on Nov 1 I had an alert from my doorstep camera and it was the cat. So I sent the 18 year old daughter, the listed owner, a text because it was -5C/23f outside, but I wasn't able to get him because it was 2 hours before I had woken up and Fernando was gone and warned if it happened again I would call animal bylaw and have him impounded. 10 mins later, and no reply EVER from the 18 year old daughter who owns the cat, mom texts me bitching me out that I made her daughter cry "so now I'm not happy", saying how "my 3 yr old left the door open when we were leaving this morning" and that she was late for work and didn't have time to look for her cat and to ask questions instead of accusing daughter of being "a horrible pet owner" and she had no clue the cat was out until I had messaged her - guess mom didn't tell her. 

I retorted that the adults were responsible, not a 3 year old and gave a few ideas how to prevent the cat from escaping (which should be their job to figure out) and reminded her it was freezing outside. 

So since she didn't want to accept responsibility I let her know that I would let peace officers have a discussion with her so she gets the seriousness of leaving a young cat out in freezing cold temperatures, and she replied to not contact her again unless I capture him and that "he's apparently nothing but issues for everyone[...]he will be gone from the area soon" and that she was returning him to the rescue agency (playing the victim instead of taking ownership and taking steps so the cat doesn't escape again)

So no, I won't contact her again solely for her own benefit - if he comes back I will call animal control and she can deal with them instead as she "don't need this neighbour hood drama again".

I haven't seen him since so maybe he got home, but if I do then he'll be safe until officers gets him home. 

So thats the story behind this track, hopefully the lyrics now make sense!

Some tracks as indicated were made using AI just for fun, but the rest I produced the beat for. Some use AI vocals, and others use soundbites, but I specialize in mixing samples and acapellas, and creating art using soundbites and/or AI vocals as a tool. 
  
Started messing with DAWs in Nov 2023, I have no formal training or experience but it comes naturally :) Everything I do has been self taught and I'm still learning.
