‘Keep it Simple’ is anything but, the atmosphere came from an early morning field recording in the departure lounge of Milan airport, the chatter and noise comes over as something almost alien and the melody came later after an alcohol soaked evening sitting by candlelight with friends, playing the piano. Despite it’s multiple layers it has only one message - give trance a chance. ‘At Last’ is a more direct affair, with a classic call and response pattern, the 0-coast shouts aggressively at the microbrute and the microbrute responds with a howl not dissimilar to a lost whale calf calling for its mother.. either that or its just a banger.

Berlin techno icon Ellen Allien marks the launch of her brand new (and aptly named) music label, UFO Inc, with a two-track EP that drops on January 28.

Ahead of the release, Mixmag is pleased to share Ellen Allien's lead single off the EP, 'UFO' - a track that serves as "a mediator between earth and heaven, i.e. the concrete dancefloor and a feeling of transcendental rapture - the kind of track that lifts you up from where you dance and takes you away to new spheres." 

Filled with playful texture, rotund synths and acid-tinged euphoria, 'UFO' is considered "the definite UFO Inc. manifesto: rough music from and for the here and now, opening a pathway into the greater unknown."

This uplifting and cosmic slammer has been on heavy rotation by Ellen since summer 2018 and is bound to continue to make a considerable impression on dancefloor everywhere.

Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint celebrates its 100th release milestone with its first compilation, 'LNOE 100' - an 11 track LP that selects a team of all-star producers to remix some of the labels most successful releases.

Stepping up to the plate to give her interpretation of Sasha's 2015 banger 'Vapourspace' is techno queen Nicole Moudaber. 

The inexorable dance music star explains her love of the track she's been asked to remix, saying: "Sasha's original version of Vapourspace is a masterpiece... a 9-minute euphoric slow build of a track, layers of dreamy immersive textures, taking you on a real journey - something Sasha is so good at, both in his productions and his DJ sets. Reminds me of the Northern Exposure days... it takes me back to Twilo - epic.  I couldn't resist getting my hands on this one and putting my stamp on it. Seine Liebe und Hingabe zur elektronischen Musik entdeckte Florian von Au bereits in jungen Jahren. Bereits Ende der ´90er Jahre entdeckte der damals 16jährige seine Leidenschaft zu Techno, damals noch sehr dem Genre " Trance " zugetan. Es entwickelte sich über die Jahre hinweg eine innige Liebe zur elektronischen Musik.

Heute, ist es der härtere, jedoch durchaus auch ebenso melodische Techno, der Florian in seinen Bann zieht.
