The Album Draw The Line is a body of work that intel’s the current problems we are facing in America, let alone in the world. This project is meant to highlight, police brutality and corrupt systems that are currently in place. It also goes over the plight that is placed on African Americans on the daily basis through individual behaviors and systematic oppression. This piece of work covers a lot of sides and their opinions and views on Blacks and their stereotypes. I make this project in hopes to clear the air and educate everyone on their role and place that they play in common problems that were all currently going through on all sides. The subject matter ranges from our rights that are being diminished as more time goes on, down to black on black crime and its effects. I was inspired to start this project when I started to heavily be affected by the corrupted system which felt like harassment, and I drawled the line and told myself that I will not be quiet to the experience that many including myself are going through and feeling. I have hopes that this project can make a change starting in the hearts and eyes of its listeners and gaining the exposure that these topics deserve and need while breaking down perspectives from multiple views. This project can be viewed as the embodiment of our pain and frustration, The “stop” to our suffering, The aspirin to our head ache, The glasses for our eyes, And the courage for a change.
