Bringing back House of Hustle-heavyweight Foolie was one of our top priorities for the second half of 2021. Foolie has been a friend of the label for a while, released his last EP more than a year ago, so we thought it was about time to get some new heat from the man.

Foolie's album 'Conversations', which came out on Justin Martin's label Trippy Ass Technologies reached number one in the Bass House charts, which made us all a little bit proud for believing in this top-notch producer from the get-go.

'Low Blip' and 'Missed Calls', we feel, are perfect representations of Foolie's style. Which we'd define it as hard-hitting, against the norm and a bit dirty at times, but still groovy as hell. It's a style we've certainly come to appreciate heavily in these last few years.

By releasing this banger of an EP, we hope to introduce more and more people to the sounds of Foolie, who is one of the most underrated producers to date.

Five years ago a couple of lonely hearts by the names of Late Eighties, IceCreams, and n808 were offered a show for their friends' MNML FUN's monthly at Underground SF on Haight street. They were all out of town in Berlin or something so we said what the hell might as well throw a party and see what happens. Kirin Rider headlined (this was before she decided to do makeup and way before her work on Euphoria) and the party did pretty good so we decided we might as well not scrap all this branding work we did. Admit One. Like a ticket. Funny name, let’s go with it. We couldn’t for the life of us get signed anywhere else so we decided one night we might as well start a record label. How hard can it be? Turns out it’s a lot of work and someone’s gotta do it! It’s been just about five years, give or take and we think we can finally answer the question: “What is Admit One’s SOUND???” and the answer is I have no idea. But I still play records we put out 5 years ago. That’s the hope for this release, we hope you can enjoy these tracks years down the line. Obviously we hope you can enjoy them right this second too. There’s a lil something for everyone, especially if you’re looking to scratch an itch that only an absolutely nasty record can scratch. There’s some fresh faces and there’s some very first releases here too. We expect to see great things from everyone here.

Vanilla Ace aka London DJ and producer Sam Young is a prolific and increasingly prominent force in house music. A firm favourite in his native UK and a growing name globally, with releases on Toolroom, Suara, Kittball, Safe Music, Hot Boi, Glasgow Underground, Nervous, Simma Black and Spinnin Deep Vanilla ACE has been making club hits since 2012.

Originally from Ladbroke Grove, London, Vanilla Ace has more than two decades of DJing behind him, growing up on a healthy dose of hip-hop, disco and house music. 

The last few years have seen him go from strength to strength with top charting singles on Beatport, Traxsource and Trackitdown. 

Recent releases have been on Elrow Music, Toolroom, Big Beat/Atlantic, Universal, Box of Cats, Hot Boi, Wh0 Plays, Stashed and Club Sweat. 

2019 saw Sam launch his own label WyldCard which is growing fast with some great releases. 

The Gee built around an instantly recognizable sax sample shot to no.1 on Beatport 100 chart and stayed there for 2 weeks in 2016 and picked up support from an array of club and radio DJs. This follows his 8 week stay on the top 10 on Beatport ‘Deep House’ top 100 with ‘Bring it Back’ on OFF recordings in 2013.

Touring globally, Vanilla Ace has performed in North and South America, Australia, South Africa and India, with bookings including HARD Summer festival, Holy Ship , Green Valley in Brazil, Ministry of Sound and Egg in London and Chinese Laundry in Sydney, Australia playing alongside the likes of Amine Edge & Dance, Shiba San, Patrick Topping, Tough Love, Green Velvet, Low Steppa, Roger Sanchez and Breach.
