Maybe I'm starting to overdo it with this particular piece, but I've modified quite a bit of the percussion and the piano to make it sound more "lively" and less dull. To be honest, I have a very hard time telling how many times I've listened to it on a loop at this point.

Compared to the previous renedition, I've decided to tone down the percussion by a fairly heavy notch and it seems that it's doing wonders on adding more of an atmosphere to what was sounded like a mess. There still seems to be more work that should be done on this, but this is still something I'm working to develop as time goes on.

This is my entry for Digital Extremes' "Tenno Tune" contest for the video game Warframe.  Utilizing various sound clips that were available for usage, I decided to create something fairly simple with a degree of experimentation with the sounds of a newer and stronger percussion line than I normally would use, but I personally like how it came out.

To be honest, this is what comes to mind when playing a mission in general in Warframe, so I figured it'd be an interesting change of pace for others to see what I envision while I play.

For those interested in an extended version of this piece, I would heavily recommend the "Prime" version of this piece, in which could also be found in my library of music.

[140322A] Warframe Tenno Tune Contest - Routine Calls

Taking a piece that I had uploaded and composed earlier, I've decided to run off and severely shorten and condense elements to create a very short loop particularly in the styling of what some games (particularly Beatmania, but Dance Dance Revolution might be more relatable) do in terms of having short loops that hint at a particular fuller and more expansive piece.

For a loop, I think this was fairly decent, especially since it has three different forms (in the same styling that Beatmania has carried as shown in Beatmania IIDX 20: tricoro).

I'm personally excited to try and experiment more with this type of style of music, especially when it's something I am personally fond of.

[140622A] Frozen Fangs Prologue

This is a slightly shortened version of the original Frozen Fangs piece with some changes to the rhythm and melody that I personally find to be much more tasteful than what I had originally made.

While in creation, this piece took some cues from other outside sources and may sound familiar as I'm currently experimenting with finding a smooth flow in music and making things progress, but it also doesn't seem to help that I tend to take cues from music I've found inspirations in.

After some time away, I've decided to touch up on this and give it some time to actually consider what sounds "decent" and what I could do to improve the piece.  After some time away, this is what comes out and I personally feel that this is how the piece should have sounded in the first place compared to how it came out earlier this year.

This is another arrangement from SENTIVE, based on their piece "Kimi to Boku" to which I have simply reconstructed and slightly arranged as a test for performing better on the piano.

I don't have much commentary on it other than that I'm not a very big fan of the guitar in this piece.

At this point, this is an old piece.  This was created for the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County's Mush Magazine as an attempt to create a motif based on some other art I've worked on and used this as the first of the musical submissions the team has considered.  However, as it has since fallen through and the literary magazine has taken on a different direction, I feel this would probably be at about the point now where I can freely submit this piece without worrying about previous ties.

This piece is focused on an ideal of mine that intends on focusing everything back to the moment of creation.  There isn't a time to reflect later, and it could be too stifling to reflect in the present.  As a result, life would appear to be running on a ticking clock - as could be heard throughout the background music, possibly to indicate (particularly to myself) that the end is coming either way, but there's so much that could be done in the meanwhile.

It's been awhile since I've last put anything here, but this is something new and experimental on my end to show that I'm starting to try and take mixing and mastering a bit more seriously.

While this piece isn't exactly new or original, I feel I really like this more in the sense that it sounds more pleasant to listen to and at the same time sounds more engaging than the original version of this piece.

This is an arrangement of a song composed by zts originally named "Goldenslaughterer."  Because I've been so fond of it for years, I figured to try and mimic and learn from it and here I am now arranging it as a tribute.

While this has been put up on YouTube before, it was never actually put up here.  This is a piece that was composed for the 2014-2015 University of Wisconsin-Marathon County John S. Newberry Creativity Award and had won first place.

The question I have inspiring this piece involves asking whether or not our miracles are truly "miracles" that benefit us or if they're simply the aftermath of us having forgotten the darker truths behind a tale.  It just seems to me that a miracle is implied to be taken for granted where an action of unbelievable fortune and goodness seems to be an act of such if the building blocks and the foundations for a grand action become forgotten or obscured whether it be through redaction or simply by being a lost relic in time.  When it becomes realized that a miracle didn't just come out of nowhere and when the costs are finally understood, it's simply too late to look back and mourn the cost with the only option now to be moving forward with widened eyes.

Coming in rather late, this piece ultimately didn't quite turn out the way I had originally envisioned it to be.  While this piece is particularly a derivative of what I had made years ago, I feel the complexity and the cleaner sound in this piece is a further step forward for me getting better and more mindful of the noise I used to just toss onto my music.

It is in my hopes that regardless of whether or not that I win that I can still say I participated and had fun doing so~

While I've been inactive here, I've been studying up and trying out some nifty new tricks.  Perhaps I'm getting closer towards improving and showing progress towards moving there.

This is the music composed for the second Warframe Tenno Tunes Contest with an update and a kick towards having a better flow than the original piece.  While it's not necessarily longer, I really do feel this is an improvement overall with sufficient justification in saying so.

Warframe Tenno Tunes Contest Vol. 3 - Shadow's Debt

Coming from layering the piano after many attempts at building speed on the piano, I suppose this would be a tribute to a great game from the older days. Unfortunately, this game deserves more than the "all your base are belong to us meme" that people love to throw around.
Toaplan's Zero Wing is a great game, on both the arcade and even the Sega Megadrive (Genesis), though the popular places around the internet seem to disagree.
