I believe that music enhances the moments of life, it creates a sense of nostalgia, awakens visions of the future and simply gives us joy. 

I came up with the idea to create a musical story that would inspire you on summer days by the sea, on an outdoor terrace or just by putting your feet on your desk in the office. I wish you a good journey!

А екватор року я перетнув подкастом, де зібрав свої улюблені треки з найбагатшої музичної спадщини італійської сцени – італо-фанк, естрада та навіть італійський спейс-рок.  Для різноманітності я додав до трекліста трохи урбан-соулу 90х, танцювальний балеарік і зовсім буйну екзотику: індонезійські поп-хіти або японський фанк. After the success of the first, there always had to be a second Buena Onda compilation. Before that arrives later this year comes a second delicious sampler featuring a remix from Calm, some 303 Balearic action from Iceland, Italian house newcomer Relative and a fresh Gallo rework.

Buena Onda is of course the cult Berlin-based party that constantly redefines Balearic music. It is run by Hell Yeah label boss Marco with resident DJ and co-founder Gallo and is a party that is both eclectic and euphoric, whether serving up slow acid or dreamy downtempo.

This sampler opens up with Buena Onda favourite Calm and his epic Mellow Mellow Acid remix of Gallo's 'Abysso,' which is long-legged, fulsome and laced with life-affirming piano chords. Then comes Icelandic artist Tonarunur who used to record as B.G. Baarregaard and has landed on the likes of Eskimo Recordings and Citizens of Vice. He layers deep acid lines into a smooth house groove that is sprinkled with cosmic dust. Italian house newcomer Relative then brings tumbling percussion, smeared chords and plenty of drama Italo vibes to his tune 'The Healing Place' and Gallo's Tropical Hinterhof Remix of Kayroy's 'Imagine' is five minutes of post-rave comedown bliss with gorgeous ambient design and celestial chord work that soothes the soul.

This is another perfect snapshot of the mature musical thrills you get at Buena Onda.

'Harmona' is the first single from Ichisan’s fourth studio album, which is due soon on Gouranga Music. It comes with two remixes by Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys and a brand new video created by illustrator Meta Wraber and director Anna Boberg, who has worked with the likes of The Chemical Brothers.
By now, Ichisan is a well-known talent in the world of disco house. The Slovenian is a skilled guitarist and brings his musicality to bear in all his tunes. He counts the likes of Prins Thomas and Pete Herbert as fans and has released numerous EPs and LPs on labels like Nang, Bordello A Parigi and Eskimo.
The fantastic 'Harmona' is a Balearic disco jam with a filtered Moog-style melody, a funky synth bassline and lush flanger-strings. It overflows with colour and charm and is the sort of dance floor dynamite that always takes things to the next level. Remixer Dan Tyler of Idjut Boys is well known for cooking up left of centre and dubbed out house with plenty of disco influences. Firstly, he adds his wonky tape delay and signature flange over the main theme to take it in a new direction. He also offers an Acid Casualty mix that is more gnarly and perfect for darker dance floors.
The accompanying video sees the watercolour paintings of Meta Wraber brought to life by Anna Boberg. Meta is Ichisan’s partner, and a successful illustrator. Anna is a wizard with after-effects and a notable animator - a dream team for this blissful track!
The irresistible 'Harmona' is a great taster of the full length to come.
