This is a live version of a short Peruvian song that we arranged from a CD our bassist bought whilst traveling through Peru. We are currently recording a CD which might include this song BUT we can't find any info on the composer/record company hence don't know how to work copyright and royalties. We tried searching for the song online but the results found a completely different song. If know anything about this piece let us know. We're really hoping that it's an old composition in the public domain.

Condores De Chavin (Peruvian folk song)

Three Windows is the closing song on our debut album Urcheon (https://vanishingshapes.bandcamp.com/) and depicts the Spanish invasion of South America. The title being a reference to the Temple of the Three Windows which is rumoured to be the Incan's last place of refuge.

'Long Intervals of Horrible Sanity' is a war story that highlights the impact war has on people and communities around the world. It is told in 6 parts. 
I. Conflict: War breaks out as a result of two opposing parties. 
II. Conscription: Innocent people become involved in the war by forced conscription or by becoming brainwashed by propaganda. 
III. Front-line Assault: Self Explanatory. 
IV. The Clarity of Mortality: After being mortally wounded a soldier enters a peaceful dream. 
V. Mourning/Lament: Families, friends and lovers mourn the passing of every soldier, military personnel and civilian who has fallen as the result of war. People across the globe are left to contemplate the horrible reality of war. 
VI. Conflict (Reprise): Despite the mass suffering caused, war continues, reoccurring at different times and in different places.

Tiny Planets is a concept EP based on the dark origin story of our modern Australia, and echo’s the similarly shared history of many parts of the westernised world, exploring invasion of foreign lands and subjugation of traditional land owners. The EP presents the story of a fictional planet in which the people reject their leader who is then ejected in a driverless spacecraft. Community and peace return to the planet whilst the fallen leader contemplates an eternity of drifting through space. After the ship becomes dead in the orbit of another planet a plan to force a crash landing is hatched. Learning nothing, the ex-leader carries out an invasion with the aid of faithful supporters, once again imposing systems to oppress.

The Usurper

Endearingly dubbed ‘fairy music’ during an early tour, Vanishing Shapes play an eccentric style of folk featuring flute, clarinet, viola, guitar and double bass. They have incorporated and defied tradition creating music that nestles its way into the folk idiom whilst drawing on a wider, more experimental, range of styles.
