Jack Smiley performing at Noise Lunch @ Now That's Class. The theme for this lunch was appropriation. Jack's set was last and he brought the theme to life perfectly. Throughout the show he had recorded samples from every other artists set which he then looped and mixed to create what you are listening to now.

This is the original improvisational track I recorded while preparing for what would later the same day become my first set that was performed while completely blindfolded. It is an audio representation of the contrasts in both scenery, pollution, congestion and chaos that I encounter in my travels passing through cities I never give a second thought to while journeying to the places in nature that remain as some of the fondest memories of my life.

Once upon a time I decided to create a science fiction audio short story, No Known Survivors. I drew a lot of influence from the more campy science fiction movies, cartoons and books I enjoyed in my youth. This is a track from later in the story where the heroine is being pursued by the antagonist.

A new work in progress started earlier today. I wanted to create a scene of a rapid side campsite in an evening rain during the early summer. To do this I am  using field recordings I have taken from various campsites around OH and PA, as well as while kayaking the Youghiogheny River (I love when the trains come through). Some additional sounds were added with string and clarinet loops.
