Slovenian label Cogo are about to drop their highly anticipated sophomore release. Welcomed to the roster on the new vinyl package titled VA.01 are Ukranian Stanislav Tolkachev, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, and label co-owner Tonske returning.

Inigo Kennedy is one of the UK’s most revered techno artists having crafted an outstanding sound as far back as 1996. His seminal releases on the likes of Tim Taylor’s Missile and Kr!z’s Token alongside a multitude on his own Asymmetric imprint, cement his new music as essential listening.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the Inigo Kennedy track titled “Lucid” that focuses on a sci-fi atmosphere. Bleeping, modular tones and additional layers create a hypnotic groove that captivates with perfect blend of tension and analogue knob-twiddling.

A true veteran of Madrid’s fabled electronic scene, Roberto Gemelín takes the reins for local imprint Trauma Collective’s sixth missive. Known for releases since the late ‘90s on labels as diverse as Minifunk, Nehoma, Warm Up, and his own imprint Brainwaves, he returns with the first vinyl release under the Groof alias in 10 years - the Staca EP.

Whether its the industrial-grade broken beats of opener “Take A Break”, or the subterranean snarl of “Command” with its ominous swells underpinned by visceral kicks (perfect for those-heads-down moments) - the A side already showcases the diversity within Gemelín’s sonic repertoire. Over on the flip, he continues his onslaught with the functional and hypnotic title track and continues with the mind game of “Stay Puft”, awash in searing synth textures and mechanised rhythms. Finally "Crash!" slams you against the wall, right from the first beat, on this with this vehemently bruising techno workout.

Julieta Kopp is one of the brightest upcoming stars in the Argentine techno scene, constantly playing in amazing events and making exceptional music.
This time she delivered ¨ Mechanical Reaper ¨ a monstrous ep with 5 tracks of her own and two remixes from Spaniard legends Hector Mad and Bernardo Hangar.

The Father Of The Factory System is the opening track. An ambient tune that sounds like a granulated dark ocean, preparing us for something big to happen.

Spinning Frame is the first banger, defined by it's loopy fat low end section. The main synth doesn't respect any rythmic pattern, making the track unpredictable. 

The title track, Mechanical Reaper is a bit more muddy, with massive power, and huge drops that turns this one into a dance floor beast.

Spinning Mule has a powerful kick bass relationship that defines it's groovy gallop. Is the more hypnotic of them all, caused by a constant bleeping that remain steady while pads and percussion move all around.

Steel Plow is rowdy. It's main element is the electric main synth that combines smoothly with the heavy kicks that this track possesses.

Bernardo's version of Mechanical Reaper  has a very strong loop  on the bass mid section and main synth, making the song fully hypnotic. 

Hector's remix of Spinning Mule  uses pads to make the story more progressive, but keeps the bleepy and bouncy spirit of the original version.

Acclaimed Berlin-based techno producer, Pris, returns with the ‘Sulphur City’ EP – the second release on his new label Empathy, released on 29 November 2019. 
Following his debut EP on Empathy – the label and mixed media project he co-runs with Deejay Astral – in Spring 2019 with ‘New Babylon’ EP, Pris shows why he is such an exciting and respected producer, drawing on many different influences. 
Opening with the exhilarating, glitchy ‘Discovery’ which Pris describes as “a step into the unknown, combined with a sense of excitement and wonder.” ‘Soft Viral’ leads on perfectly. “A fun little track, jittery and growling. It’s nice stripping things back to get the most out of each element” 
Title track, ‘Sulphur City’, is for Pris, “very visual and inspired by a trip to Shanghai where I had a vision of an uninhabited technologically advanced city due to the climate crisis, a ride through a city succumb to nature” 
‘Twilight Falls’ shows a different side to Pris’s techno. “I have a soft spot for this. I wanted to make a somewhat uplifting track, envisioning the feeling of escaping city life during the twilight hours in a futuristic world where little natural beauty remains. But what there is, gives hope.” 
Early ‘Sulphur City’ EP supporters include Daniel Avery, Leon Vynehall, Ben UFO, Svreca, Mary Anne Hobbs, Wata Igarashi, Henning Baer, Pangaea, Rrose, and Cassegrain. 

Pris said: “The EP is a step beyond what I’ve made in the past. It draws from all aspects of my influences and experiences since first getting into music. I wanted this EP to show the side to techno that I see and want to share: colourful, energetic and painting a picture of where I’m at musically and my interpretation of what techno can be. I realised that I enjoy playing tracks with breaks in and decided to play around with them a bit myself for this EP as an experiment on how to build energy.

ETERNITY VOL.1, released on Overstep, is the first chapter of an uncompromising reissue of techno. 
In this chapter we find the union between Spain and Slovakia with tracks produced around 2001 and 2007 by Exium, Loktibrada and Dj Boss. It also includes an unreleased track by the label owners B R 1 0 0 2. 
On SIDE A we find Exium with "Electrictone" a track originally released in 2003 on Rxxistance and Loktibrada with "Plnovous", released in 2001 on Palicavonzvreca. 
Instead in the SIDE B we find B R 1 0 0 2 with "Hotei" and Dj Boss with "Depka Old" from his archives "Unreleased vol. 7".
