VAN MAXIMILIAN is the moniker of LA based pop/indie/EDM artist Van Maximilian Carlson, whose open hearted melodies and cinematic soundscape are inspired by his background in film, as well as a love of blending disparate genres to create a sound that is as unexpected as it is up-lifting. Born into an artistic family, Carlson spent several years learning piano and guitar before discovering his latent love of electronic music. He immersed himself in the style, taking cues from the eclecticism of 2000’s indie as well as the world conquering sounds of dance music to form Van Maximilian. Having spent the last year working diligently in the studio, he is now preparing to introduce his music to the world.
