Van Múrten (real name Alexéy Murmulév) is a music producer, DJ, and founder of an online music academy and label.

With over a decade of experience, he’s developed a signature Melodic Breaks sound — blending saturated analog bass, bright synth melodies, and classic breakbeat rhythms.

Alexéy began his journey in bass music and first entered the spotlight in 2019 with 'Rumors', featured in the official Ultra Miami Aftermovie — a breakthrough moment that marked the start of his international recognition.

In 2022 he introduced a new direction with his debut EP 'Set You Free / By My Side' on Colorize, followed by 'This Is Love / Above The Skyline' in 2023, which helped define his signature sound as one of the most promising names in the melodic breaks space.

Follow-up releases like 'Breathing (Van Múrten Remix)' on Enhanced Progressive, 'Long Way Home' on Argento, and 'Beyond The Horizon' on Ame Records continued to draw attention — not just from fans, but from some of the genre’s most respected names. His music has since received support from Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Tritonal, Aly & Fila, Kream and many more.
