Info: We’ve been meaning to put out some music by our friend Harald ever since we started this wee operation five years ago. Imagine our joy now that we’re ready to release not one, but two masterful records signed Mr. Björk! Fritids EP sees Harald bringing his top game to Studio Barnhus: starry-eyed pop melodies, dusty machine riddims and the Maestro’s sweet trembling voice, all synched up (sort of) and ready to tell us stories of imperfect love, blossoming Nacka gardens and bicycle rides on wet gravel. Also on this record: Suzanne Kraft jammin’ harmonic on the remix, Malin Gabriella Nordin straight up slaying it with the artwork. This 12′’ EP is released synchronously with the vinyl exclusive 7′’ single Strings Of Harald (BARN 037).

Secrets & Lies

Third outing for London based X-Kalay comes from Melbourne's very own son Rudolf C stepping up with his highly anticipated debut EP. 
From the jagged electro tinged "Seattle City Light", through the drifting hazy levels of "Blacked" to the kicked back paradise of "Untitled Monday", Rudolf serves up a masterclass in blissed out backyard house. Undulating Juno soundscapes and warbling 303s merge seamlessly with roughed up rhythms punched through the MPC.  This one's for the heads on the dusty trail, the midnight drive, and the pacific swells. Those in the back seat with the window down and the feet up... Here is "Pisces" our fave track from the EP, a deep and melancholic wonder !

This Four tracker contains only floor tracks full of 909 drums, brilliant patterns & groove baselines with the touch of the Juno machine. 

"Explorer" will grab your attention from the beginning till the end it all. Moving hips alert!
"Terraform" is an extension of the Exploration. Yet, more funky, groove, … this track will get the audience swiped of their feet in no time. Great set filler.

On the B-side, Binny takes it to a whole other level. "Minimise" is a combination of repetitive drums with a stripped & highly mental stabbed synth that will turn people in to zombies. Killer for the floor. Up there with the big boys, if you ask us.

The more gentle & sweet melodic track "Alpha Juno" is a great tribute to the magnificent machine by Roland.
Fits every DJ set for sure.

Kinaesthesia is a subtle tool track with added depth, as waves of synth chords wash over deep percussion in increasing intensity.

Barrier Block however hits straight between the eyes, with its fusion of varying styles. A half breakbeat rhythm section builds in intensity before an early 90's Frankfurt influenced melodic synth construction reveals itself, culminating in a spectacular crescendo.

Hamatsuki is  Mamuka Tskhadaia’s project, who is the resident DJ of HOROOM room and queer party series Horoom Nights.  Mamuka’s first musical impressions are linked to J. Dilla and the hip-hop culture in general. With electronic music he first became interested in hearing DJ Sprinkles. For him especially inspirational were sounds of the labels Scissor and Thread and Lobster Theremin, which later reflected in compositions of Hamatsuki. “For me it is important to focus on common senses or emotions rather than details. Accordingly, we may consider this as the main axis of the project. Also, I never write composition specially for dance or the dancefloor.”
