We live at least as much on the inside as on the outside. Often the worlds don't align. This is music that L. T. Fisk and Ljudvägg made together, during a specific moment. It was a nice moment when their respective insides and outsides were in sync. The only song (lyrics) on the album is about a disappearance, where the disappearance never actually happens. The missing on the outside is very much present on the inside.

For L. T. Fisk, this presence/absence became what resonates through and out of these four pieces. The despondency we find ourselves in daily, on the outside, can, if not be healed, be shared, on the inside. Sometimes. This invisible community, beyond loneliness, is the closest we get to miracles.

This collaboration is based on simple ingredients, refined with finesse. L. T. Fisk invited Ljudvägg to his living room in Arlöv.

- We placed my old piano and my old pedal organ opposite each other and started playing together. Filip (Ljudvägg) has a soft authority and got us to actually play something together every now and then. It went easily. After all these years, I have understood that concentration helps me escape myself. Everything was recorded with a single microphone above both of us. I think I offered something edible, at least a smooth cup of coffee. After that, Filip took care of the finishing work. I wrote a lyric for one of the recordings and sang it quietly into a recording that Leonard Andersson at DeadPoet Records staged. When I got the material back it was completely transformed, with the simplicity intact. It was a nice little build and I've been looking forward to releasing this somewhere. The fact that fine Lamour is releasing this recording is a big deal for me. In addition to releasing fine music, they possess the endurance - a quality that is more important than anything else, to me: timbered for centuries.

Through ethereal compositions and evocative soundscapes, my hope is that you emerge with a renewed perspective on your inner landscape, inspired to enact profound change within yourself and, by extension, the world.

Drawing upon the rich tapestry of Eastern and Western thought and philosophy, Piercing the Veil also reflects my own subconscious and emotional states. The album serves as a microcosm of my odyssey over the past three years - a period marked by the death of loved ones, grief, and newfound growth. Purposefully paced and sonically immersive, this album is designed for quiet, contemplative settings that foster deep listening and imaginative engagement.
