Wide awake that night under the moon — lying just inches apart, both quietly wondering if we should’ve snuggled. Ha-ha. That pretty much sums up our early days… full of hesitation, unspoken feelings, and way too much overthinking.

For me, it was this maddening loop: “She’s right there. Say something. Or just scoot a little closer. Or maybe... don’t.” Even with her right next to me, my head wouldn’t stop spinning. Silly?

This duet captures that weird, sweet, slightly awkward magic of that moment — when you're close enough to touch, but too scared to cross the line.

These days? She steals the blanket like it’s a competitive sport, and I freeze through the night like a very polite popsicle. (She denies everything, obviously.)

But sometimes, out of nowhere, I feel two arms wrap around me in the dark — her signature sleepy sneak-attack cuddles. Not that I’m complaining. I’m just as guilty now.
