Was feeling a more chill vibe after putting 'Never too Old' together and as an aside I really appreciate the warm feedback from that set and the show that I played it in, the crowd and our SSS fam showed lots of love and that's why we do this so big ups to the peeps that support. Mad Love.

Got a nice little airy session for the listeners this go round, featuring some fluid tunes from homie Duoscience to lead us off followed by a dope Con-Figure track forthcoming from the Codename:RCRDS homies then rolling off into a real slick tune from Alkali. A nice lead chapter that I'm pretty happy with, vibing into a solid atmospheric section accented by a couple more forthcoming tracks from the up and coming Codename:RCRDS label. Courtesy of Moakz, it’s an absolutely stunning 100 minute exploration and celebration of jungle music’s most timeless, emotional, musical, soulful and dynamic parameters qualities.

At points bone-shaking, at others soul-quaking and forever peppered with exclusive forthcoming tracks; It all comes from one label: Codename : RCRDS.  

Co-founded and run by Moakz alongside fellow Southampton junglist Chiron, the label was born through their club nights Codename : AMEN. The label only launched in April 2023. yet, as both their catalogue and this mix shows, they’ve already curated a remarkable wealth of contemporary, forward-thinking jungle… Including their first VA album which dropped last Friday March 15.

Entitled Look To The Future Vol 1, it’s a 10 track trip into jungle’s most futuristic motifs and characteristics from some of the label’s key artists and peers. Arcologies, Con-Figure, Digital Altair, Eschaton, Fortune & Chance, Marc OFX, Mineral, Moakz, NonRev, Wez Walker, Perpsective R and Trident all feature on the album as the Codename crew unite to hard salute the atmospheric legacy and influence of imprints such as Good Looking Records while still keeping firm eyes on what’s ahead.

It's been a pretty busy month of gigs for me, but it's always a good time returning to the stream to hang out and vibe with old friends. Bonus level, I get to play all the music I don't get to play out all that much to IRL dancefloors! It being 4/20 and all I'm sure many people had Saturday plans, so it was kind of a low key affair, but the core group of the LLL fam were still present in the chat. I opted for a deep heady vibe in the first hour and brought up the energy in the second hour with some dancefloor and big room rollers into some minimal tech stuff and finally into some futuristic R&B style vocal rollers at the end. Good times were had for sure and I always appreciate the support.
