DJ Ruby es el artista underground de música de baile más prolífico surgido de la fiestera isla de Malta, con una enorme base de fans que le siguen incondicionalmente y un nombre consolidado en la industria mundial de la música de baile, principalmente en la escena progresiva. DJ Ruby, famoso por sus impecables sets y por ofrecer un ambiente de fiesta enérgico y positivo allá donde actúa, está considerado un auténtico pionero de su calibre, una persona trabajadora y modesta que siempre ha madurado con la escena. Cuenta ya con 30 años de experiencia, en los que ha obtenido innumerables logros y elogios imposibles de mencionar en unas pocas líneas. 

DJ Ruby es responsable de haber sido una de las principales fuerzas que iniciaron y dieron forma a la escena musical dance de élite de Malta hasta convertirla en lo que es hoy. Durante muchos años, fue anfitrión de innumerables eventos bajo la marca Pure Promotions, marcando tendencias para varios conceptos de clubbing en la isla e introduciendo a múltiples generaciones en la música electrónica de baile.
 Una carrera activa que comenzó a principios de los 90 y que sigue fuerte hasta la fecha, ha visto a DJ Ruby aparecer en los eventos dance más notables de Malta, abriendo para muchos de los nombres legendarios del mundo como Faithless, The Prodigy, Sasha, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Hernan Cattaneo, Sven Vath y Nick Warren, así como realizando residencias en influyentes instituciones de la música dance en el país, incluyendo un cartel en todas las fiestas Renaissance en Malta a lo largo de la década de 2000.

A lo largo de los años, la agenda de actuaciones de DJ Ruby se ha convertido en un atlas. Ha actuado en todos los continentes del mundo y sigue de gira regularmente para pinchar en salas de todo el planeta. De Nueva York a Sydney, pasando por Londres, no hay ciudad o destino que DJ Ruby no haya conocido como DJ. Además de actuar en clubes y fiestas underground, también ha participado en festivales de renombre como Timewarp, Ozora, Transmission, Love Parade de Berlín, Creamfields y Tomorrowland Unite. 

Como productor musical, DJ Ruby posee una vasta discografía de producciones propias, remezclas, 3 álbumes y múltiples recopilaciones. Muchos de sus temas cuentan con el apoyo habitual de los principales DJ del planeta, y la mayor parte de su música siempre encuentra un lugar en las listas o selecciones de Beatport.


Sus sets de vídeo en directo, streams, mezclas invitadas y la serie de mezclas Prog On con Proton tienden a hacerse virales al instante, recibiendo constantemente buenos comentarios de fans, clubbers y colegas artistas. Miles de personas le siguen en todas sus plataformas de redes sociales, lo que le convierte en una persona muy influyente en la escena.

Como promotor de eventos, en los últimos años ha conseguido que la escena del progressive house florezca de nuevo en Malta. Esto se debe principalmente a su evento anual en colaboración con Guy J, el concepto Secret Series, los espectáculos Open to Close y las fiestas periódicas Ruby&friends, en las que ya han actuado artistas tan respetados como Cid Inc, Stereo Underground, Jeremy Olander, Miss Monique, Subandrio, Golan Zocher y Emi Galvan.


Con una biografía impresionante que puede ser casi infinita, DJ Ruby se ha ganado una merecida reputación que sólo puede resumirse en una palabra: ¡leyenda!

Karma Wild, also known as Varun Nagaraj, is a DJ and producer from Mangalore, India. His musical journey began at a young age when he learned to play the keyboard and explored the traditional sounds of Carnatic folk music. Over time, his passion for sound grew, leading him to explore genres like Rock, Pop, R&B, and EDM.

MUSICAL JOURNEY
It was during his early years that he stumbled upon Psytrance, which introduced him to hypnotic and underground sounds that deeply inspired and shaped his craft. After years of honing his craft as a bedroom DJ, Karma Wild transitioned to professional performances, sharing his music with his audience.
