Lekker has been one of my favourite Noisia tunes ever since I discovered them as a teenager, my friends and I would always use the words that Noisia, De Huilende Rappers and in this case Hustle Athletics use because we thought they are really funny, and 'Lekker' is a funny song, so I thought this would be the perfect one for me to remix!

UK-born, Melbourne-based Hedchef creates the kind of sharp, off-kilter club constructions that disorientate and delight the dancefloor in equal measure.

Showing discipline to a militant ethos of pushing the envelope, futurism and point-blank rejection of nostalgia, irony and pastiche, Hedchef’s groove-based, breakdown-light arrangements align closer to classic techno and electro than dubstep or garage, whilst his razor-sharp sound design draws from influences closer to drum ‘n’ bass and the UK bass-driven music spectrum to add imaginative, gritty edges to the rolling flow.

Hedchef’s prolific back catalogue and wide-ranging DJ sets certainly tend to feature dark, heavy and abrasive sounds - but his approach to writing grooves, similarly to if they were guitar riffs or brass sections, brings an almost pop-adjacent catchiness that belies the leftfield, experimental nature of his rhythmic structures and warped sound palettes.

It’s this intricate musicianship which has seen Hedchef release on acclaimed labels including Scuffed Recordings in London, New York-based Worst Behaviour and Berlin’s International Chrome, with a stacked schedule of upcoming releases that continue the mission of expanding the boundaries of functional club tools.
These tracks can be heard in the sets of some of the world’s most venerated DJs and tastemakers, from Dave Clarke and Anastasia Kristensen to Detroit In Effect, Jensen Interceptor and Solid Blake.

Most recently, his collaborations with cross-genre wizard Doctor Jeep have been a staple in the international club circuit. Behind the decks, Hedchef has played his brand of technical, unorthodox techno at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and events, from legendary London institution Unfold and Abyss in Shanghai to Sydney mainstay Club77.
Hedchef continues to keep the listener guessing whilst staying rooted firmly on the dancefloor, and his work unfalteringly develops in scope and ambition with each project.

French producer Vitaline delivers Lost in the Swell, a seven-track EP built for the floor.

Written between studio sessions and club sets over eight months of experimentation, the record reflects her hybrid identity — both as a producer and DJ — moving between techno, bass, breakbeat, and percussive club sounds with precision and drive.

The goal was to experiment while staying rooted in a club spirit — playful, energetic, and physical. Each track is built around movement and unpredictability, designed to keep the body engaged while leaving room for freedom and tension. A functional yet expressive toolset for selectors working across hybrid tempos and percussive frameworks.

Remixes come from Doctor Jeep, Phasmid, and Brodinski — three artists whose work has directly influenced Vitaline’s path. Phasmid, founder of Taipan Trax, reinterprets On-shore with the raw swing and tension characteristic of his label. Brodinski, one of the first artists who sparked her connection with electronic music, turns Wild Card into a deeper, trap-inflected cut, shifting the focus toward atmosphere and space. Doctor Jeep, a precise and versatile sound technician, reworks Air-Reverse with detailed rhythm architecture and weight control.

Lost in the Swell marks a defining chapter in Vitaline’s trajectory — a focused and physical statement of intent, crafted for DJs exploring the balance between impact and experimentation.

A kaleidoscope of polyrhythms and post-dubstep.

"Music was a way to speak Arabic… It's my way of being confident that I am, in fact, Lebanese," Jared Beeler AKA DJ Plead told Crack Magazine in 2022.

Often framed as an Australian producer threading Arabic rhythmic structures through techno and post-dubstep, DJ Plead's music is better understood as tradition embedded inside contemporary club forms, where percussion and bass move as one. 

First surfacing in the late 2010s with releases on DECISIONS and Nervous Horizon, he has since become one of the most consistent voices in leftfield dance music, defined by the tactile clarity of their drum programming and Maqam-informed phrasing.

RA.1028 opens with Bruce's "Just Getting On With It" from Livity Sound's ten-year compilation, a fitting nod to the kind of rhythmic experimentation that runs through the set.

From Iran to London to Miami and back again, the 90-minute mix pulls a wide frame into focus, including several unreleased DJ Plead tracks. Whether it's the dry snap of hand-drum hits or sub-bass that lands with chest-caving weight, RA. 1028 is a reminder that rhythm can be a direct path back to the self.

vasuki red, is a multi - genre DJ/Producer based in Galway. She is a resident DJ with four local collectives and also independently run her own events and gigs.

Music has always been a passion for vasuki red, beginning in her teenager years, but truly fell in love with DJing in 2024. Since then, she has learnt that it's not only a creative outlet, but a way to express, connect and bring people together.

The most important aspect of being an artist for her is definitely the community. Creating a safe space where people from all backgrounds can come together and connect through music and sound.

Throughout her journey she has enjoyed experimenting with all sorts of genres, but is drawn to Breakbeat, Bass, DNB and UK Garage. She looks forward to constantly evolving and growing her sound and artistic direction.
