'Salford Love Psalm' was inspired by singer Nat Lort-Nelson's time growing up in Manchester, England. The song explores the moody and edgy environment of Manchester in the late 90s through dark driving bass alongside gritty, layered guitar and synth ambiance. At the song's core though it reveals a more simple desire of young romance and adolescent Lort-Nelson aiming to impress the goth girls in his social circles.

Vatican Vamps Bio :

Vatican Vamps formed in Denver, Colorado in 2013 by talented songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nat Lort-Nelson. After returning to the States from living in Europe, Lort-Nelson recruited Genevieve Lort-Nelson (keys, synth), Tina Rea (percussion, guitar, synth), Tim Miller (bass), and Tim Gaskins (drums) to bring his alt-rock, post punk sound to dynamic life. They have since released three conceptually vivid EPs: Aokigahara (2014), Yggdrasil (2015), and Gehenna (2018). Their new single 'Salford Love Psalm' is the first single from their highly anticipated 2023 album release.

The Ghost

Cambio inhales the complexity of love and exhales a soundscape that reflects the trials and tribulations that two lovers may experience throughout the whirlwind of romance. It’s never easy or straightforward, but that’s the beauty of love. Nat and Genevieve originally wrote this song in 2015 and since then it has evolved into a B side single Vatican Vamps just had to share.
